I have been getting a reoccurring eye infection for about 3 years now, its incredibly painful and has all the same characteristics of conjunctivitis so i was given steroid eye drops and to my dismay they did nothing.  I have recently been told its because i have a cyst behind the back of my eye. Doctors for years haven't been the slightest bit helpful and now they know the cause they still have only given me few options, the majority being surgical procedures such as getting a drain put behind my eye or getting the cyst cut off but even then I've been told it could grow back or damage the sight in my right eye. Does anyone know if there are any other ways besides surgery? I don't want to spend so much of my time going in and out of clinics getting the cyst removed, especially if the benefits are only going to be short-term.

I have a hard cyst on my eyeball. The eye dr. Said to wait & see what happens. He said if they operate that scar tissue could cause more problems. It is annoying but it doesn't really hurt. Sometimes it hides and you can't see it but I'm uncomfortable with it.

i had a jelly growth on my right eye ball. First, the doctor poked it and let it drain. After 3 days, it reappeared. The next option is to have minor surgery @ cut it off. The procedure was painless and took about 5 minutes. after the procedure my doctor asked me to sit and rest for 10 minutes by putting some pressure on my eye with my hand. then he checked my eye and told me everything is fine and i can go back. No next appointment required. He gave 2 types of eye drops and to be used 4 times a day. The next day was painful..... The drops was more painful. But after 3 day, no pain. Now Everything is back to normal. Now it has been two weeks without the jelly growth with water in my eye, touch wood. every i check in the mirror and sometimes having nightmares it reappears.

Hi.

I have the same thing in my left eye. It's yellow and it's located on the white part of my eye. I've had it for years now. My eye gets to be dry and red because of it.

Unfortonately I have let it go on for too long,  and now, every morning, my eye is bloody red and need eye drops to make it look normal. My eye is beginning to get discharge as well.

I just visited my Dr. today and will be having surgery to remove it next month. It's just a fatty cyst. Hopefully my eye will get back to normal after.

Make sure you go to a good specialist. Your Dr. sounded knowledgeable although may not have the best bedside manners.

Hope this helps.

DAY ONE: Suffered with this condition for 2 weeks. Just lanced my own left eye cyst in the outer white of the eye. The positive result is immediate. The itchy sensation is gone and the bump has gone down to a normal appearance. I wouldn't recomend doing this yourself, but if there is no other way, it seems to work! If left over time, an accretion will surely form and cause further problems.

I woke up one morning after looking in the mirror, finding these white bubbles on the white part of my right eye. At first i thought it was nothing, and tried to move it and wash it away but it stood there. when i came back home the same day, i found more on the same eye and some on the other eye! i went to the doctor and he said that it was just a cyst and that it isn't harmful. I should only be worried if it gets bigger or starts bothering me and neither of those things happened. Now, a couple of months later, I find some more on the inside of  my lower eyelid (right eye) and one in the corner where the eye crust comes out of! The doc did give me some drops before, and used it for the first time for a couple of weeks as told, and it wasn't any help. What is going on? I have more of them now! They don't bother me, but still I'm scared. My eyelids have been itchy lately and i do have pretty bad allergies. And i was 17 when i first had it, and im 18 now with the new formed ones. SOME ONE HELP!

Please be careful with steroid eye drops, they are not naive at all.

Never had a conjunctivitis eye cyst before, but I think I got it after something got in my eye.  It wasn't painful, just felt like I had a grain of something in my eye, but I could clearly see a small clear fluid like bump on the white of my eye. Anyway, after reading up on the cause and treatment I decided to wait and see if it would go away on it's own.  I cleaned my eye with sterile water eye wash and that didn't seem to help, but when I started taking a double dose of Cod Liver Oil and also went back on my regiment of Flaxseed oil 3 x per day, then I noticed it disappeared after a couple of days.   I thought I would post this to help anyone in the future who had a similar concern.

Hi, welcome to my world or at least for the past 8 months. I had this little clear bubble "thing" in the corner of my eye near the tear duct. I went to an eye doctor that said, "It's nothing leave it alone. Use eye drops everyday and it will go away." Guess what? It didn't in fact I now have a baby "thing" next to it. The first one hasn't grown but it has multiplied. So, I have been living with it since April. I really don't notice it anymore. My husband isn't repeled by it and my grandson still tells me I'm boot te ful. So, unless it's causing some type of problem or growing into your field of vision, let it be. Good luck with it. I'm sure no one around you notices it anyway.

that kind of sounds like what i have on my eye balls right now. they are clear and don't hurt at all but are jelly like in feature. i noticed that i have one on both eyes now and they are on the white part. I wasn't going to do anything since they don't seem to be hurting my vision at all but i am checking them constantly. one of them is on the iris so i'm a bit concerned but hopefully all will be ok. if the doctor doesn't seem to concerned check on them to see if there is any change in size. if you really feel bad about them get a second opinion. never hurts to be safe. :)

About 3 weeks ago, my eye itched very bad an i rubbed it to relieve the discomfort, the following day my right eyeball was red, and eventually developed a pimple like bump on it. I consulted a pharmacist and she told me to take it to an eye doctor, but my eye was no longer itching then and there was no pain whatsoever. So i decided to leave it alone until i feel discomfort. After two weeks of apply hot compresses and leaving it alone an, the eye expelled the white stuff that was in the eye, and now my eye is back to normal.

My son has had the small cyst on the white part of his eyeball for several years.  I've advised him to have a doctor drain it and he's refused.  He's just returned home and while on the airplane, the cyst burst causing several blood vessels to become very inflammed, it looks very painful and looks like he is bleeding from his eye.  Maybe he'll finally go to the doctor.

I had the same type of pimple on the white of my and it did come back, but only after I stopped taking my supplemental of Cod Liver oil. I think mine developed due to a deficiency. If it comes back you may want to start taking a vitamin supplement for the eyes to keep them healthy.
