Hi, I had the blood removed through a syringe about a month after my accident against the doctors advise. It worked well. I was left with a small dent that isn't noticeable through clothes or swimwear ( for the most part) Good luck and God speed.
I fell in April 2017 down the stairs at work, and suffered multiple injuries, including a large hematoma on my left cheek. From the side, my ass had an imprint of a letter B. l was too informed that this deformity would eventually go away, my body would naturally absorb it. Well it never did and after several doctor visits and complaints of tenderness in the area, I finally was referred to a plastic surgeon. I just had it removed and I am looking forward to wearing bathing suits, tights, dresses next summer. This is a workers compensation claim, finding a reputable plastic surgeon is almost impossible but I did my research and never gave up. I dont know how this is going to turn out, but I have to offer words of encouragement..
doing something is better than nothing.

Continue to let us know how you are doing post op!!! I’ll continue to positive thoughts!!
I fell down cement stairs about 12 years ago. They withdrew blood from the hematoma on my left buttox over several visits until it was too difficult to withdrawal from needle and was told that it ‘should’ go away.....never did. I’ve tried compression therapy.... didn’t work. It’s a daily difficulty trying to find a way to dress covering the embarrassing lump. I am no longer comfortable wearing swim suits/ skirts or loose anything with shorter shirts.
If anyone comes up with a solution that works please let share.
I am really glad to know I’m not alone but I hope we all find a solution and soon!!

This has happened to me twice! The bump in my right cheek in my 20’s finally disappeared after 8 years (not months) and then I slipped and got another one in my left cheek 2 years ago. The bump has gone down a little with time but be careful not to gain weight or it seems to get worse. I’ve had a few bad nights where it seemed to be pinching a nerve in my back or cutting off circulation to my upper thigh but I can usually massage it out a little to get some relief
Yes. I could cry because sound exactly like me. June 2017 and I have an indent where I'm sure the edge of the stair hit. I went to get a second opinion today. My primary said it will take awhile, but eventually healed. Second opinion Dr. Has ordered an ultrasound. I'm deformed. I don't know if anything can be done but (no pun intended) we'll know more after the ultra sound, I hope.
I, too, have fallen down two separate times down stairs and now have a dent in both sides. For anyone still wondering, this website shows a plastic surgeon explaining exactly what has happened and how to fix it. ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** posting of web addresses is not allowed*** Please read our Terms of Use
I know how you all feel being self concious about it. Take care. Good luck to you all.
Try a cryotherapy local treatment... I would recommend a wholebody cryotherapy treatment and do a localized cryotherapy on the actual spot.... the best. You may need 3 or 5 of them... but do it
Hey I have the same issue. I ice a lot and I have a foam roller that I use and the size of mine is going down. I fell in 2014
Yes I have had the same type of injury, I had no plastic surgery but had to get hematoma remove because it was very noticeable. I do recommend plastic surgery due to the cause of wher the hematoma was there is a small I dictation on my buttock. But my buttock is still round and plump.
I fell off a roof, had one foot on the latter one on the roof, latter slipped the done a back flip and landed on the metal latter and I think tore my butt musle and now I have I line indent on my butt , and a huge lump on my hip softball size,, I thought I was the only one.lol I talked to a doctor and he said it will always be like that ,, if anyone know a doctor in Washington state ,that can fix it plz reply ,,, I hate it ,I just turned 50 didn't think it would bother me as bad as it does thx
The exact same thing happened to me 14 years ago and I still deal with the self consciousnesses of it to this day
The exact same thing happened to me 14 years ago (though I wasn’t on the roof) and I still deal with the self consciousnesses of people seeing the “dent” to this day. I need help!!
