So i slipped on ice and fell down three brick steps down to concrete almost 4 years ago and my butt still has a large lump/dent in it. It hurts at times. It’s uncomfortable and OBVIOUS! I do rub it out at times but it gets painful and there’s never improvement! Not to mention, when my muscles improve from working out, my damn lump/dent just gets larger
Hello all, I experienced the same! Fell on stairs 16 months ago and now have a lump where bruise was and indentation or collapse of tissue below the lump. I have been to many plastic surgeon consultations to try and repair because it depresses me and hate the look. They are not give me good hope to fix it perfectly and prices are $15k-$30k they are so expensive and still not promising by giving me 6 out of 10 . Anyone have better luck? I was thinking maybe do a little fat dissolving where the bumb is and then maybe temporary filler to see if the tissue below holds it in place. Then maybe travel to Spain for fat grafting. Lol
Did yours ever go away
Can you share who the doctor is that performed your surgery?
Hello all,
I had this problem going on 6 years now. I am very self conscious about it. I went to the doctor today and she stated it's really nothing to do if it's not bothering you or causing health issues. She also stated plastic surgery would be the best option. It looks like I have three buttocks. So embarrassing.

Hello I have had the same exact thing happen approximately 10 years ago, had a bad fall and am now currently experiencing pain and discomfort and was wondering if your doctor ever discovered what yours was?
Has anyone had this issue fixed with success??? TEN YEARS ago I too slipped down some tile stairs and the fall created a dent/divet on the center of my left buttock. It's still there. It shows in all my dress pants and dresses. I'm over it and ready to get it fixed. I read that "The most reliable approach to correcting a soft tissue indentation in the muscle is to release the scar tissue under the skin through a tiny incision and then immediately fill in the dent with a fat transfer. Fat grafting without the initial scar release may result in the plumping the areas above and below the dent, making it look deep"
I also have a lump on my butt from an injury... This might sound ridiculous but can some kind of meat tenderizer be injected into it?
I feel for everyone on this thread. When I had first fallen, I got a bump on my buttcheek like many others here. The bump was the size of an orange on the top of my right buttcheek. I fell while skiing because the instructor wouldn't allow me to use poles and I had lost control and fell on an icy hill right onto the ski. About a month after fall I developed the bump. Underneath the bump there was an imprint of the ski and an indent. My butt has always been really nice, perky, round, etc. so when this first happened, I thought I could find an easy solution. Shortly after the fall, I have found this thread and I remember thinking in horror- what if my bump never goes away? I began to seek solutions.
About a month and a half after the fall, I got a doctor to attempt to drain the seroma. He drained it twice and it came back exactly to its prior self every time. I then saw another doctor who attempted to put a drain into the seroma and created a hole in my butt. He was unsuccessful because there was no liquid. The bump was a little smaller. That surgeon said to wear compression garments and it will go away on its own. I didn't believe him. A few days later, the bump was back as if nothing ever happened.
I then found a good surgeon who agreed to cut it out. He released the scar tissue underneath which was giving my butt an indention under the bump and removed the bump completely. My butt looked normal again!!! I was so happy. Happiest I have been since before the fall. I thought this nightmare was over. Unfortunately, within 10 days, the seroma had begun to fill back up. I had it drained the first time about 2 weeks after surgery and 20 ML were removed. About 5 days after that, the seroma began to fill back up again. I had it drained a week later after the first drain and only 2 ML were removed even though the bump was forming again. My doctor said I need time to let my body absorb the seroma but I have low confidence it will. I feel that the bump is back (not as bad as before!!) but it is still not a perfect contour the way it was. I am worried there will be another capsule that is formed around this seroma and my butt will be back as before. I wish I had known that falling on your bum can cause such a deformity because I would have rather broken my ankles, arms, anything than have to deal with this never ending horror that affects my self esteem. I am so tired of wearing compression garments and feeling my butt and it feeling bumpy instead of smooth. I curse the day I went skiing, my instructor, my luck to have this happen to me. Why me??? Why do I have to suffer?
I have my last follow up next week. I will ask the surgeon if I can get it cut out again. If that is not an option, I will have to seek a BBL/fat transfer to fix the deformity. I have read about an option of sclerotherapy that may help release the capsule around the seroma but my surgeon said it causes irregularities and scarring so he wouldn't do it. I wish you all luck in getting this fixed, best course of action is to drain it as soon as you see it forming, so if you had a fall and are experiencing anything similar, get it drained ASAP!

This makes me sad because had I known to do what you did, I wouldn’t have this unattractive lump on my butt and wouldn’t be in search of a cosmetic surgeon to correct it as I was told I’d have to have done. I fell almost 6 months ago and was told I had to wait 6 months in order to have anything done to it. You’re so lucky to have gotten yours corrected right away!! :(
Hello, I know this sucks! I fell as well on stairs 2 years ago and ended up with huge bruise and after that the bruised area became a shelf like area and beneath that the dent was created. It never got better…after consulting with so many plastic surgeon to fix my deformed butt. I just did a modified BBL to see if the fat grafting will help and the shelf like area was liposuctioned slightly to lower. I am in week 2 now and we have 5 weeks so pray with me that this very expensive fix works!
What is the name of the surgery? And what is the range in cost?
What ended up happening? How were your results? Can you share doctor's name?
