Do you also experience a horrible headache on only one side of your hide (for me its the right side) because i have had all the same side effects after smoking weed for the past 6 months and it is awful and ive been to the point where shaking to the point where i thought i was having a seizure but it was just a over whelming amount of muscle spasms and pain caused by tensed muscles and sitting on my ass after getting stoned. Ive found that if you go eithout smoking weed the problem will stop for that time being but as soon as you smoke again itll concur over and over till somebody is able to find the real issue. IVe read articals that people had similar problems and they bought up the it could be the muscles in are necks deteriorating from the harsh smoke. Ive found that with exercise i have been able to kinda overcome the pain but it is most definatly still there with the pressure on my chest and shoulders as well as my back. And my whole body i guess kinda stiffins it feels like i cant even bend my toes. If anyone has any further info pls inform me so i can fet this fixed this has been taunting me for monthes and im over with it

You could be hypersensitive to microbial toxins in the plant. All marijuana has some degree of mold toxins. A healthy person might never notice as their immune system fights off a few spores of mold, no problem. For those with compromised immune systems or extremely sensitive to the mold can have very adverse effects. Warning:. Some bacteria found has been known to be deadly including mold toxins Aspergillus, a deadly mold. Be cautious of any symptoms of infection especially lung infections and seek medical attention immediately. This is a real thing, look for academic journals through Google scholar for actual proven scientific research and patient surveys. DO NOT consume any marijuana that has even a faint smell/taste of mold.

I haven't read every single post, but didn't see anyone in the first five pages mention the fact the CBD/THC affects the calcium and potassium channels. That might explain the cramps, increased pain, and especially the back problems.

Arthritis runs in my family. My grandma, great grandma, mother, and great aunt all have arthritis. I suffer from much joint and back pain. I am 20 years old, but I have had this pain for a long time, even in high school and middle school. When I smoke, I get much pain in my knees, thighs, elbows, lower back, and neck. I know it’s from smoking because my pain is only severe when I smoke. I am not an avid smoker. I smoke maybe 5 times a month.

Also I am female, have asthma, and I am relatively an anxious person. Most of my life I have been athletic although the past 3 years I have not been very physically active. I go for a run once a week.

Check for Lyme disease. It has been found that Lupus is really a form of Lyme or co-infections. In other words, auto-immune conditions are not your body fighting itself, it is your body fighting a disease state which has not been identified. More than likely a type of spiroplasma, leptospire, leptonemas or otherwise. Check out some of the books by PJ Langhoff, more particularly God Science. Its fascinating and scary.
Wish you the best.

I have this issue and I too have looked everywhere for answers and I did find them. For me I have incredible tightness in my back to the point it feels like i'm having a heart attack and my nerves get tight and muscles ache, Stretching only makes it feel more weird, I have seen many doctors and gone to chiropractors and physiotherapy. Because of how marijuana affects the brain it can amplify how you feel and how you feel affects your overall body and how you feel pain. If you are not stoned then you are not freaking out at all about your body because you are used to it. When you smoke your brain is freaking out and sees everything as more of a threat, because of this the slight back pain or discomfort you have is intensified to unbearable pain. Weed is not a pain killer to popular belief. It can alter your mood but it doesn't block pain receptors like morphine or other actual painkillers.

Active Ingredients In Marijuana Found To Spread And Prolong Pain
Date:
August 14, 2009
Source:
University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston
Summary:
Experiments with rodents and humans have shown that cannabinoids, the active ingredients of marijuana, can actually amplify and prolong pain rather than damping it down. This discovery has implications both for the use of marijuana in pain relief and for basic understanding of the connection between transient and chronic pain.

I'm so glad that I found this forum. I've been legally consuming MJ almost daily for about 3 years now. I eat a plant based diet and, up until the last semester of earning my degree, I've exercised regularly for decades. I'm a master trainer, so I practice yoga, run, hike and bike. I noticed that I was more achy and recovering more slowly about 2 years ago. About a year ago, I was convinced that I had broken my ribs in a mountain biking accident, but x-rays showed no fractures. The doctor said I had costochondritis, which I questioned, because under this diagnosis the pain and inflammation should last weeks tops, not months. I lived with the pain for about 6 months, without being able to even do gentle Hatha yoga, and then I couldn't take it anymore. The pain intensified and began to include pain in my hips, lower back, shoulder blades and my right foot (a reimmerging marathon injury). Additionally, my stomach would become very bloated and hard when i consumed MJ. I really struggled to finish my degree because of all of my pain. Keep in mind that, at the time, I had no clue that any of my symptoms were caused by MJ. I went to the doctors again and they did blood and urine tests as well as a CT scan with contrast fluid. They found nothing. All of my vital organs are perfect. I'm not even vitamin deficient. For the naysayers, no, I don't cough when I consume MJ, it's not laced (it's organic and locally grown in CO), and I've had periods of time where I only had vape or edibles, so it's not from smoking alone. Now that I've graduated, I've had time to experiment and I'm all but certain that this body degradation is caused by my sweet sensei. This is very upsetting, which the trolls in here can't understand, but my awesome stoner family in here gets. Have you ever shared a joint on top of a 14er? Had a sativa before a sunrise hike? Sat by a stream and listened to nature after a bowl? It's pure heaven. But, this pain is pure hell. I can hardly sleep. Walking hurts, bringing on sensations of my hips being 'loose' in their sockets and taking a deep breath feels like being stabbed. So, I guess this is goodbye Mary. Send me some good vibes fam, I'm gonna need them.

I also experience increased cracking noises in my neck after smoking. Most of web appears to be focusing on mechanisms involving pain transmission and pain sensitization to explain the cannabis/pain connection. The easy-cracking phenomenon lends credence to the previous guest's theory that the muscle-relaxation effects are the culprit. I have been going to senior citizen calisthenics classes which involve a lot of neck exercises. They seem to be helping so far. I have also discovered a machine at my gym in which you pump the iron with the forehead and back of the head. It is two early to tell if this machine is helping.

You should request opiod pain meds and combine them with the marijuana. Norml recently featured a double blind, placebo study that showed really strong evidence that opioids alone or marijuana alone doesn't do a whole lot for pain, but when used in tandem it was a huge improvement. Might be worth the read if you search it.
