I know this is an old post so I'm not even sure if you will read this but YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!!!the way doctors treat us like we are idiots is just wrong...they are the idiots..most of them don't care and don't even take the time to listen..but they will charge you like they saved your life!!!I work in a doctors office so I see it every day....I'm not saying all of them are bad but it sure is hard to find a good one!you said that we have to be our own advocates and you are right!!!just wanted to put that out there ;)

I have been the same for a year now, recently went to have my annual pap smear and dr. felt my uterus enlarged...so i had a sono done..turns out my fibriod grew ,it is size she said 7 by 8 cm..that needed surgery..i have an appt. til the 30 and i seriously worry cus i cant stop passing blot clots every 15 mins..and yes im very anemic ..been taking iron pills..on and off for this whole yr...and it never gets to a normal level...HELP..
Please please reply to my message I am desperate and very worried and scared I have similar if not exact symptoms that you have occurred I am veryh consistently bleeding and can't go longer than 10-15 minutes without changing I really would appreciate it if you could please reply to my message or please please allow me to speak with you I need your advice and I am sure that you can ease my mind and tell me what I am experiencing please please don't ignore ASAP or hell if you could give me a call that would be even better desperately waiting tthank y
I am 24 years old, I had my daughter on april 4 of 2016 c section to be exact. I breast fed only for a month and didnt have a period for a year then i started up very irregularly. Now for the lat 3 months I have had a very heavy flow and very big blood clots. My mom told me i needed to get checked yet my sister told me it was probably my body getting rid of old blood. But I dont feel like thats what it is, at all. I do have ovarian cancer in my family. I am a big baby and i am terrified something is wrong. I dont want to die. or have cancer. So im too scared to go to a doctor. I think im more afraid of the truth. What if they tell me nothings wrong? What if its something life threatening? I am about to go to the emergency room just because my husband is making me go. But i am really scared and i think we know our bodies better than anyone and i just have a feeling something is wrong and they have always over looked it. I have always had more than normal amount of discharge and have always have heavy flows and horrible menstrual cramps through out my life since i started my period. I have gone to emergency rooms for the pain and have missed school days/work/etc. I just want to find out whats wrong with me. I want to also put out there that i could be bi-polar and maybe my hormones have something to do with it as well. I have never felt very 'balanced'.

I have had the same problem. I have been bleeding for over a month now. Heavy bleeding big blood clots. They want me to go in and have a biopsy done. I'm kinda scared....what's weird tho I didn't have a period for 6 months that in came back full swing ahead. They said I'm not prego or never was so idk what to think.
So, normally I barely have a period of one at all. Last night, I felt a huge clot come out of me, and then another and another. (Literally one right after the other). These things were massive.
Anyway, it stopped for a bit and then started up again, to the point where I had to strip in the shower so that none of the lord got anywhere. It stopped for about 24 hours. Spotting here and there (barely noticeable)
But again tonight the clots started again, more this time and heavier bleeding. But now that the clots have stopped so has the bleeding. I’m not sure whether or not this is normal. It’s kind of embarrassing actually.
OMG everything you described is exactly what's going on with me. I also had my tubes tied after my third child and my period was very irregular, but now I been having it monthly and I could wear a tampon and a pad and have to change it within 15 mins. The bloods clots are so huge I freak out!
I absolutely agree that you should not have the live this way! I have pcos and struggle with a normal cycle. I recently started having heavier periods and clots but one thing I've found to help my cycle at least with being regular is a pcos diet! Ladies.. it is hard! No sugar, low carb, no dairy and trying to eat gluten free. After begrudgingly making myself do the diet for a few months, my cycle started regulating and I got pregnant fast. It is so hard to start but once you find recipes and buy the foods you need, it gets easier. It's at least worth a try. Since having a baby I'm working hard to get back on the diet since my periods have gotten heavy and are far and few between. I hope this encourages you.
I have been the same for the pass year but the pass 6 months have been terrible. I have had so much time off work due to my periods being so bad
I am also going through the same issues. I am 26 years old and I already have a fibroid. Any who I was feeling very weak and a huge pain attacked me , I went to the E.R where I had an internal vagina ultra sound. They found that I have a cyst as well. Now that there is many different options I am thinking of the fibroid embolization technique in which they will stop the fibroid from getting any blood flow. This is very depressing and I understand what we are all going through.
Ive read every single comment on this & im so pleased im not the only one. Im 25 no children I started bleeding 5 months ago .. only the last couple off weeks have I had huge mega blood clots, ive never had them before docs did blood tests to test my hormones brut everything came back fine apart from my iorn now there clear I was sent home to deal with it has anyone else had any luck???
I am 47 years old and was diagnosed over 10 years ago with anemia and had to receive 2 pints of blood back then. I take 45 ml grams of slow release iron every day. I have had clots off and on but now for 2 months on my third month my periods have lasted more than 10 days. It starts off really light , might skip a day and start again. This month has been heavy and clotting and I constantly feel like I'm bloated or that my lower abdomen feels bloated. Is this normal and am I going through post menopause?
Same goes with me I’m 15 and I’ve been on heavy breakthrough periods. Now it’s been 6 weeks of being on my period non stop and I’m on birth control pills, iron pills and multi vitamins. I’m getting soo weak and tired, I can’t even sleep without having to wake up and going to change. I’m getting a lot of pain down near the vaginal area and it hurts a lot. I’ve been to several doctors and each doctor gave me different medications, and it stuffed me up and nothing is working in fact I don’t think the birth control pills are working as well as I’m almost on my third month of my pills. Can someone please help me on what to do and what’s happening to me.
