I Can Smell Smoke All the Time

What anti depressant are you taking? I had a severe cold in July with nasal congestion. I did not see doc or take antibiotics. I feel better now but for 2-3 weeks I've been smelling cigarette smoke in my apartment. I take Lexapro for depression and anxiety. I've been on it almost a year. No one smoke in. my apartment either.

Ismell smoke different parts of the day also on oxygen that's when it stsrted

When my husband had renal cell carcinoma he smelled smoke all the time. NO doctor picked up on it. We met other cancer patients experiencing the same issue. Not to scare but to warn.

My husband has been getting smoke smell since last 5 days and I am worried sick. Otherwise he is totally fine and no issues at all. He went to a general doctor and he recommended prednisone steroid to start with a have the course for 4 days. I am hoping the smell goes away. I was told its a condition where we imagine it. Also it can be due to damaged nasal canal. I am 100 sure its not imagined. Another doctor said its sinusitis. Its build up and that what makes it smell. Took antibiotics it went away but always comes back at times.

Same here eyes burn and I get nauseous too at times.

Tried what you said and it works for a short time. Just wish there was a permanent fix for this.

Yes been having an episode since almost 2 weeks now. It comes and goes.

Have you considered mould? I found traces of it can set my allergies off the charts. Might even be somewhere you don't see it, like in the walls. Sometimes light fixtures that are burning lamps not rated for that fixture can get the insulation too hot and cause off gassing, that also can cause a reaction. Source: Bitter experience over 20 years.

No hadnt thought of tha bit will keep that in mind.t. I think in my case its due to damage to the olfactory nerves.
