Hi there, I've had symptoms similar to those as well. I have no idea why. It started when I came back from Hong Kong 1 week ago with diarrhea and lots of gas. There was always a pain on my lower left abdomen, right below the breast. THe pain would ease up a bit when I let out gas. The doctor said it may have been because I wasn't use to new water, or perhaps I ate something dirty. 2 days ago the gas started to disappear as well as the diarrhea, but I'm always feeling tired - I've never needed more than 6 hours of sleep everyday, but it feels as if I'm always wanting to sleep for 10+ hours. I've had sharp pains on the left side of my head. I'm always feeling weak, a bit dizzy, and aches on random parts of my body. What's wrong with meeee? >

I am a 23 year female who also shares many of the above symtoms. When i first started feeling sick (about 3 years ago now) i felt really dizzy all the time and my head felt cloudy (if that makes sense). I went to the doctor and she suggested i had a viral infection. Treated me with antibiotics but i never really felt completely 100% after this. I go through stages when i feel fine but lately it is back and i always feel like i have a fever, some times waking up with headaches, occasional dizziness especially when in enclosed spaces or busy place - malls, bank etc, also get nausea which sometimes makes me feel like i want to be throw up. Have been to doctors, neorologists and physiotherapists many times and have been misdiganosed time afte time. I have been told in the past that i might have vertigo, sent to physio, told i may have an inner ear problem due to my dizziness, multiple blood tests have been done which all come back clear. It seems that doctors can never quite pin point what is wrong with me. Also told that it might be a bit of anxiety. It just gets me frustrated and sometimes really worried that something is seriously wrong with me and the doctors aren't picking it up.
Would be grateful for any feedback or suggestions on what could be wrong.

This is a classic anxiety case. All the symptoms add up. I am not a doctor but am a nurse and have studied stress, anxiety for a few years. All of these symptims are a result of your body's response to anxiety/stress primarily caused by your adrenal response. My suggestion would be to see a doctor and get this sorted as all the physical tests have come back fine so you need to trust those results. The quote about being dizzy in enclosed or busy places is a sign of slight agoraphobia which basically means an anxiety in public. Again, this is caused by anxiety. Once you get rid of the anxiety, I am 100% sure all your symptoms will disapear - not overnight, it will take a little while. Hope this helps.

I've been having some of the same symptoms and recently found out that it's my hormones cuasing it. Specifically, low estrogen. I was taking a birth control pill with a high progestin content, but I've been off of that for 5 weeks and getting better SLOWLY. Seeing an endocrinologist next week. Read It's my Ovaries, Stupid! by Dr. Elizabeth Vliet. It's appalling to see how many women have suffered because doctors RARELY look to a hormonal cause.

I'm 28, have been feeling these symptoms for years.. they go away - come back, mostly in the summer. I get lightheaded, from a couple of mins, to what feels like the whole day. Like a cloudiness feeling, to what G's are felt like when moving. I get nausea, in some cases. And on my really bad days, headaches, and shakes... -and have been feeling tired. Been to doctors, they can't figure it out either. And I feel like its all in my head because of this. Has anyone found out anything?

[Hi there, I am not saying you have it, but after experiencing what you mentioned, I was finally diagnoised with Anxiety Disorder/Panic and Chronic fatigue Syndrome, along with a possible chronic infection for which I am currently awaiting the blood tests. I have also had all the tests etc and they come back clear. It is most disabilating at times. All the best.

You have Mono my dear!!! I just got over the EXACT same thing!

I have a feeling that it well could be "Mononucleosis" (Mono). Stay overly hydrated, get a lot of bed rest for about one week, you'll then start to get your strength back. Take Tylenol, Advil, or Motrin to help to symptoms go away. There is no cure for Mono just things that can help it. It'll eventually go away with the right care. Look it up on Google.

I am only in my teens but i have the same exact thing as what somebody stated earlier. Everytime i change positions from sitting to standing or lying down to sitting i get extremely dizzy. Worst case i black out also. You have either Pots Syncope or Neurocardio Syncope. They both have the same symptoms only with Pots, when you change positions, your blood pressure goes down and your heart rate speeds up and with Neuro it's vise versa.

Are all of you women by any chance...this could be a gynecological related issue!...one common factor ive noticed is the age group and possibly gender. I was diagnosed last year with polycystic ovary syndrome, i often thought the nausea and dizziness fatigue and faintness might be due to low blood sugar, that i still havent tested for but i did get diagnosed with PCOS after surgery i felt wonderful and had no problems. I think narrowing down common traits between you all might help somehow.

My kids and I are having the same syntoms, but adding body muscle spasms. I went to the doctor and have a great number of different blood test, MRI, CT Scan; all results are normal. I still feel dizzy and my joins still hurt. Also I am having burning sensation on my back, chest and arms. I'm waiting to have the tyroid checked due to an intense pain on that area. I was very desperate and went back to the doctor and he gave me gabapentin to control the spasm; which improve my headaches, neck and ear pain. but I'm very concern for my kids. We started with these syntoms last year in October, the pediatrician won't give anything to my kids to control the smasm. They are having random pains that spread all over and go on and off.
We were bitten by an insect; and I use repelent for over a month or two. I had told these to the doctors, but they do not think there is a connection with all these syntoms; but the sequence of events tell me there is a connection.
Any of you have anything in common or have heared anything similar.

I'm currently experiencing the same symptoms as the original poster, have been for a couple weeks by now. Started off with a dizziness, then I would feel rather weak, hot in the face, occasional headache, sometimes I would get the shakes, mostly when I feel cold, awaking in the night. I could swear I contracted an ear infection after dipping my head into a bath to relax me, which didn't help. I have something of a loss in appetite too, oat meal and a ham sandwich, that didn't go down well. That's all I've had today, normally I can snack about all day but nope.

I feel my strength slowly coming back as I rest in bed, slightly uncomfortable . . . feeling feverish and my bowels seem to be doing a jig.

I tried to exercise a little, wouldn't recommend it.

Bed rest, vitamin A, C and D. Green and black tea. Antioxidant drinks and food. Get a good nights sleep and do not stress! Also, NO COFFEE or ALCOHOL . . .

I am awaiting the results of a series of blood work, most seem to think this is anxiety, I don't want to THINK, I want to know and address it. So hopefully the results will show but on the whole, I feel stronger than I did a weak ago. My confidence has been knocked though and yes, I have been panicking from time to time.

You know, I'm 19 years old, male, a student - I have exams soon and need to focus.

Believe you me, after this experience I am not gonna take anything for granted. No more late nights drinking my weight in alcohol, no more, well, less unhealthy meals.

This is inspiration to live and lead a better lifestyle.

Sometimes I do get scared and this is one of the only sources I find comfort in, and it's from what you guys post, so please, respond to this. Sometimes I think you guys get cured and don't bother commenting back . . . we've all heard the symptoms stories, tell us how you started to feel better and how you've avoided catching them again!

On a lighter note Craig Ferguson is doing that presidential dinner thing tonight - should be interesting. I'm Scottish, his show doesn't air here (UK) but I watch it online. I might catch the highlights of the dinner on FOX News, we get all the USA news stations on Sky.

Anyways, don't mean to turn this into a fan-site but I'm feeling better, comment on peoples!

You all get better soon, you know you can!

Good day/night!

God bless ya.

Hi im a 27yr old female and about 3 months or more ago i started feeling sick just nausea and dizzy all the time and i felt like i was in a cloud...I get hot in the face too and kinda get a little nervous about it that turns to anxiety your heart beats really fast and you get hot...fuzzy in the forehead....Anyhoo went to the doctors in March and they found a cyst on my left ovary so i went in and got that cut out and now i am still recovering but i am still getting the same symptoms. They did an ultrasound again and nothing showed up...i just feel sick all the time, dizzy, and tired, and get a little panicy at times with a hot face then i totally freak out "what is happening to me" so i went and saw a different doctor and he says maybe there is something going wrong internally some other infection that is making you out like this..also i have dropped weight and food isnt so appealing to me anymore and i used to LOVE to work out now i can be bothered i get winded even walking up the stairs! :( normally i am very active i have 2 small kids too so that makes it even worse!! Also the doctor says that my heart is beating faster than normal and perscribed me ativan to help calm me down i dont know what is going on with me but i wish the doctors would HELP ME!!

Surprised I managed to find a board I've posted on before, I should favourite these things.

Some of my symptoms have worn off but things are still rather strange.

My symptoms all developed after a head injury, which made me worry. The disorientation I would experience and feeling of being pysically drained has left me somewhat but I now have been experiencing headaches/head pressure. Mostly, when I stand to get up I will be overwhelmed with a dizzy feeling, then my heart will race and my head will feel like it is throbbing, just today I noticed my eyesite sort of throbbed too . . . and the ear infection I think I got from that bath? I still have crackling in my ears as if there is liquid in there.

I have been to my local health centre about 8 times and taken myself to accident and emergency 4 times now and none of them believe I have sustained anything life threatening.

They still believe I have an anxiety condition but I asked for referal to a neurologist which I was granted . . . Doctor said I might have to wait a while but patience is one thing I don't have.

All the best folks.

God bless.
