Hey man, me again. Sorry for such a bother, but one question. What would be the chances of getting pregnant with Plan B 74 hours later after sex, and on birth control for 9 days...? We took it because we were insecure.
After starting taking BC for 7 days, you are then covered. But I thought BC was started over a month ago, and this is now the 2nd month. If so, the protection afforded is good. Plan B should be taken within 72 hours but would have been unnecessary. However, it may mean the next period is lighter or heavier than usual, or maybe more nausea.
If my girlfriend just ended her period on Saturday, and was as well the last day she took a pink pill, and started a new pack on Sunday, and today on Monday we had sex, would I be protected? She has missed no pills and it is her 3rd pack.
Yes, you would.
Thank you man. I Appreciate it. Happy Holidays!
I do not have to worry about fertile days while she’s on the pills right?
That is correct. That is the whole idea of the contraceptive pill.
Is there actually people who didn’t get pregnant after having sex during the first 3 months of ever being on birth control? I’ve been hearing that the body needs to get used to the horomones for it to be effective...
Most certainly. Taken properly, the most birth control pills should be effective after 7 days.
Hey man, I’m back again... excuse me for the bother again. My girlfriend and I had sex yesterday and I ejaculated in her. She is still on her birth control and hasn’t missed no pills. She just got on a new pack on Sunday and finished her period I think on the same day as well, and had sex on Monday (her second pill). It’s been 5 months on it. Is everything looking okay? We don’t plan on using Plan B and it looks like she doesn’t get side effects anymore.
She should be well protected. All seems to be OK
Oh and by the way, if she got protected by precum, wouldn’t that mean she’ll be protected by actual ejaculation? Cause the past 2 months we’ve had no condom sex with me using the pullout method, and she was fine.
She is not actually protected from either pre-cum or ejaculate but from the effects of any sperm contained therein. The pill aims to prevent ovulation so that there would be no egg for any sperm to fertilise.
Yes, I know. Excuse me for my word usage, but let me ask again, if she didn’t get pregnant off precum, doesn’t that mean she wouldn’t get pregnant by ejaculation?
No, it doesn't. Your reasoning is completely flawed. The converse would have more credence, but even that would not be completely logical.
