Hey everyone....I have the exact same problem. It started my freshman year of college coincidentally a couple months after my hernia surgery and it is still happening a year later...but I have hope (which will be explained later on). I noticed with some foods I could manage it for short periods of time like eating a bagel before class. However, dairy always made the noises happen. So I decided to see a GI doctor and he told me "oh it is just stress, etc." I refused to believe that.

I then had a colonoscopy and everything appeared normal. I knew everything was not and I decided that this GI doctor was not right for me.

I tried a different GI doctor and he is providing me some hope. He performed an endoscopy and going in before the procedure he told me to not be surprised if all results are negative; turns out they found the bacteria H pylori which some of you have mentioned and found inflammation in my stomach. The bacteria is in the stomach and is in roughly 20% of the population but only some people negatively react to it. My doctor prescribed me antiobiotics for a 14 day treatment along with Prilosec and Hyoscyamine (a stomach relaxer). I am on day 7 of the treatment and haven't really noticed any changes but I know it will take the 14 days to hopefully solve this problem. My doctor will call me in the next coming days to tell me my results about the biopsies he took and so I will keep you all posted.

The biggest recommendation I offer is to have an endoscopy done. I never had hope that this problem would be resolved and I tried certain diets, etc but nothing worked. Like you guys, my parents said it was all in my head and after the endoscopy they finally believed me and are helping me with it.

I am praying that in a week this problem is resolved and I will let you all know.

I have the same issue. That was creepy you sound just like me. I've delt with it since I was 16 and it started in first period during a geometry rest and it was HELLA embarrassing. Even my teacher looked at me weird. After a couple procedures done and doctor visits turns out I have IBS both D and C BUT I mostly deal with IBS-C which causes the noises because my stupid weak intestines can't process foods like regular people do. First of all, Avoid all quite areas. Beg your parents to let you be homeschooled. Eat only organic foods. Take a probiotic daily. Follow the low FODMAP diet. Exercise regularly. Get enough rest. Meditate or pray. And until you control this you can figure out what to do with your life. Remember you can always do online schooling for college. And look for jobs where it doesn't require quite places. GMO foods are 95% of our country or more sadly. So do not consume GMO foods eat only organics and clean food.

I seem to suffer with the exact same problem, and these tablets really help me, they are called Deflatine, and relieve you from trapped-wind and bloatedness. Trust me, these work. They stop the noises completely, unless you really have to go to the bathroom. There are side effects however, as they do cause constipation for me, yet there are other side effects listed on the rennie website. If constipation is the side effect it will feel as if you are about to pass gas, however its such a rare occurrence that you will pass gas in public. I consider these as a lifesaver. I still get anxious. However i am a naturally anxious person anyway but it is usually fine.

I have this exact issue. It started it 8th grade. I had a lot of stress going on and one day it happened. Ever since then it's been nonstop. It's a loud, growling/whining noise coming from the anus and is extremely embarrassing. I've been to the doctor and took every medication ever thought of. I've had a colonoscopy, endoscopy, everything. I finally found out my gallbladder wasn't working and so I had surgery and got it taken out. 95% of my pain went away thank goodness. But not the noises. When I was in the middle of 9th grade I transferred to online school. Last week I started back in public school. I'm in 10th grade now. This is still an everyday issue for me. I've recently started taking Prevacid. Many people told me it made their noises go away, so I'm trying it. I know being in a room full of teenagers is so embarrassing since your butt growls and they think it's farting. When you are nervous this makes it worse. Just look at them and shrug. If they laugh tell them you have a stomach condition and that they should few up because they'll be hearing a lot of it this school year. I'm hear if anyone needs to message me. Hope we all find a way to get rid of this horrible problem.

You just described my life. I'm 30 and this still happens to me so I leave work early. I cut wheat, gluten, milk and sugar out my diet and drink plenty of water and that seems to help a lot. Trust me - try it! Good luck

I have the same problem ! It started my freshman year also . Every detail you wrote ' yup that was me . It was really hard for me to deal with it ' specially cause it caused me to get anxiety and deppression which made it even harder for me. I ended up getting homeschool cause I was skipping class too much ' I couldn't stand being in a classroom and it being so quite ' I would get panic attacks . I tried everything to get rid of this problem ! I remember I use to take a lot of Midol ' it's medication for when your on your period it helps bloat ness and it made me really sleepy . Which for some weird reason I found it helped me ' get rid of the noises . But it stopped helping me cause my body was starting to get use to the medication and btw it's not good for your body to be taking medications such as that one a lot it can mess up your stomach . I knew that but I didn't really care ' I just wanted a cure ! Luckily that medication didn't do that to me . But I was stupid for taking them just cause of that . My Sophmore year ' I found my real cure/ help for it . Speaking from my experience what helped me a lot was God ' I don't know if your religious or not but I would give it a try . It wasn't easy getting close to god but I got their and he helped me a lot . He basically took this problem away from me . For me it was a miracle 'but now and then I still deal with my anxiety and depression .. But not as bad as I use to . Also what helped me a lot was Marijuana . I tried it my Sophmore year cause I looked into it . & I saw it helped anxiety and depression and I thought since those two things made it worser for me to deal with my problem I gave it a try . And I can honestly say it helped me ALOT ' with everything . And the way that works is cause when you smoke ' you get super relaxed ' your body and mind just relaxes . And that's when I realized it was all in mind the noises my stomach and butt made ' cause when I would smoke ' I felt so relax ' I could think clear . & I wouldn't be worrying about if my butt or stomach was gonna make a noise ' so my body would relax since I didn't think about it & so it wouldn't happen ! ' it also helped me focus better in class too . It's really hard to explain until you give it a try ' but it' was a big help for me . But what helped me the most was honestly God . And yeah I know God and smoking weed doesn't go together supposedly ' but I never started smoking weed for a bad reason ' I did it for a medical reason , for my health which I really needed . & before anyone says "Weed is a drug" or it's addicting , bad , or it's gonna make you stupid and ruin your life . Please do your research ' cause all of that is false . It never affected me that way .

Hi :) For the past month I have been having the same issue. I thought at first my stomach was growling but while laying in bed next to my boyfriend it sounded like I ripped one really loud... I was thinking "what the heck. I didn't even fart!" I kind of brushed it off because that's when it just started. Since then it's been almost daily at home, at work, out in public. It doesn't sound exteamly loud all the time but nonetheless it is still annoying.

I can tell you this. Over the past year I encreased my coffee/caffiene intake. I was drinking 2 to 3 cups a day. I know that drinking that much can mess with the acids in your stomach and it affects with the digestional track as a whole. Such as increases acidity, heartburn, ulcers and IBS, laxative effects, etc. I haven't had coffee for 3 weeks and it's gotten better. You may not even drink coffee, but I would look into your diet. I personally think it was the coffee for me as well as food allergies (that I am not exactly sure of what I am allergic to at this time). So many of our food have harmful things in them that we are unaware of. Example: (and I don't eat them) Flaming hot Cheetos. "Super spicy chips and snack foods have come under attack as being unhealthy.. Emergency room doctors said they were seeing kids and some adults coming into the ER with gastritis, an inflamed stomach lining, or other stomach ailments after eating bags of spicy snack foods".

I read something about a Vitamin C deficiency and I also have been taking Vitamin C more now. You can also try an allergy testing called NAET. You'll have to google who does it in your area. Typically it is done in a Chiropratic office.

And I totally understand that this would be the cause of anxiety and depression. Not the otehr way around. I would like to think of myself as pretty upbeat and positive and it still happens to me. I think that for me I am now in the process of healing my body. I know that the body can heal itself naturally if given the right and proper nutients. I have been faily healthy my whole life. I very rarely get sick and if I do I get over it quickly. I am in good shape and work out and still have this issue. So I looked at what I was putting in my body and started cutting out what I shoudln't be. Try to eat fruits, veggies, whole grains, meats and all organic if at all possible.

I hope that this helps and I hope that you are able to find a healthy solution soon. Again please look into NAET allergy testing. :) My sister is doing it. I haven't done it yet, but will be soon.

I have the same problem especially right after I eat. My stomach always makes these weird growling/whining sounds and happens any and everywhere? Its so embarrassing and there's the weird sound from my butt that sounds like I'm having gas even though I don't . its loud and constant and very embarrassing when I'm around other people. My doctor told I should take more fiber because even if it doesn't feel like you have to "go " you should always go and the fiber makes it easier
