My gallbladder was removed in 2014 and I have been experiencing the same painful bloating. I hadn't connected the dots though and thought it was due to my sedentary job. I quit a year ago and have been much more active but still seriously bloated. Three days ago my daughter asked if I had ever tried activated charcoal. She gave me some and literally in ten minutes my pain was subsiding. My stomach is pretty flat now, my abdomen is calm-i haven't felt this good in years. Apparently activated charcoal absorbs toxins and gases. I realize it's only been three days but I'm hopeful this is what I needed. Today at any rate I feel great and so thankful!

I had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) on November 6, 2018.  My stomach is very bloated and hard after 2 weeks. Im checking back with my Dr in 4 more weeks to see if it’s better then.  I am fast-walking 4-6 miles/day, every day.  I drink at least a gallon of water every day.  I eat only chicken and fish, fresh veggies and fruit, nuts and high fiber cereal, & non-fat greek yogurt.  I eat no red meat or pork, no other starches, no other dairy, and a bit of olive oil in my home-made dressing.  I also take 1 magnesium with calcium 400 mg every night as i have for years to help with constipation.  I will check back in 4 weeks to give an update.

I have always eaten healthy and exercised. I lost my gall bladder removed in mid February and it is almost mid July and I am terribly bloated after a meal. I use to enjoy my green smoothies. I removed fruit, dairy, meat except tuna. I feel a little better. I eat gluten free bread. I plan to try the Daniel Fast and incorporate a little fruit to my smoothies again. I plan to avoid meat except tuna and salmon. I can avoid dairy, I drink almond or oat milk. I drink a ton of water. This blog has been informative as I am navigating my daily intake through trial and error. Thank you for the helpful suggestions.

Hi Kylie, I had my gall bladder removed mid Feb 2022. It was an emergency gall bladder removal. Mine was the size of a 6 inch sub. I have eaten very healthy, I do not drink soda or eat fast food. It has been 5 months and I am bloated and feel awful. I do not eat red meat. I am going to try the Daniel fast and follow a simple meal plan. How are you feeling now?
