Strange throbbing/ pulsing in my thigh just above knee

Hi All, I am having the same constant heavy pulsating in my inner thigh just above my knee. It persists for hours at a time and seems to be the exact same thing that some of you have described. I have no idea what it is and was wondering if any of you were able to get a diagnosis/treatment?

Hmmm - I would love someone to answer this question with a diagnosis. I get a tingling/pressure kinda feeling - hard to describe - above the kneww front of leg. Seems to be what all the others here are saying. HELP!

i just went to a doctor and they suspect that it is actually the muscle that is pulsating and the problem might be due to knee injury so they helped me to book an appointment with the specialist for further diagnosis.

I am another one on this list who has the same thing. No Pain, just seemingly random occurence of throbbing just a little over the knee and bang in the middle of the thigh. I saw my doctor today, and he said since there is no pain and no swelling, redness etc and thus nothing to worry. It's probably one of my superficial veins with a high flow. I am not particularly satisfied with this theory, because while it seems harmless at this point, it's certainly alarming.

Last year I swore my cell phone was going off on vibrate in my pocket! It felt like a "buzzing" just above my left knee. I was told by my doctor to visit a neurologist because my blood work was abnormal, so I did. He made me walk, do stretches, etc... but of course, no "buzzing" while the doctor was in the room! He wanted to do an MRI, but my insurance would not have covered it, so I chose to wait. Shortly after, it stopped. I have not had it in quite awhile, but I would sure like to know what it was... ?

a phone vibrating is a great way to describe it. I almost feel like i can hear it, but it the vibration that i feel. I have had it for about 5 days myself. also the jello being squeezed through a tube is another great description. would love to have a diagnosis on this.

A buzzing phone is a great description of it. I almost feel like I can her it. It seems to be inside my knee. No Pain, but definitely something isn't right. I've had it for about 7 days now. Squeezing something through a tube is also another good explanation of it. It isn't as fast as my heart beat, but it does feel like something is flowing. Anyone got any answers?????

i have the same thing! its a very fast twitching like/heart beat in my thigh/knee on my left leg. some say its iron or calcium that we need...but im getting a little scared. its been about 3 weeks noww

as a former hypochondriac I must answer that this is a fairly common occurance, and in most cases is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to worry about. I have the same thing happening to me--it is causing minor discomfort but not much else--the hypochondriac in me is causing me to blow it way out of proportion though. Try walking around a little.

strange that a lot more people have this same thing. I've had the sensation for at least a week now, and have wondered many times if it was my cell phone. I don't know about any of you, but it looks kinda like my knee has a growing kicking baby inside of it. No it's not that big, just that much movement when the pulse hits.... might try to call my foot doctor tomorrow since I had surgery this past year, and see what they think.

Me and my boyfriend are sitting here TRIPPING out on my left leg because its doing this weird heartbeat throbbing movement above my knee!!This sounds like what some of you people are talking about. Were wondering what the hell this throbbing is? I dont like it!!its uncomfortable and its STILL throbbing as im typing:( make it stop. PLEASE

i have it in my thigh, i have type 1 diabetes n also suffer from neuropapthy, cud it be connected?

im just over 18 and have been experiencing the same thing in my right leg, just right of my knees center for 2 days now. its lasting anywhere from 10 minutes to hours at a time. no exercise in a few days (since im on half term). feels like a heavy pulse. gotten me quite worried now since my right leg feels a bit weak when i stand now. any advice?

I have been having the same thing. Throbbing above my knee cap. It feels like a heart beat, I have this for about 5 days now. Does anyone know what this is. I am going to get it checked out.
