Strange throbbing/ pulsing in my thigh just above knee

Question

I have an unusual heavy pulse in my left inner thigh just above my knee for the last couple of days. It isn't painful, but it is a little alarming. It goes in and out irregularly. It's like a quick little quiver, in rythym with my pulse. What is this, and should I do something!?!

So what makes it go away? drinking and plugging my nose at the same time lol?? thats what i do with "the hiccups". Come on man don't leave me in suspense. Also thanks for the reply.

I'm only 14 and I have been having this weird beating thing a little less than half way above my knee on my right leg to the side. I was gonna tell my mom and I still probably am but then I found this.

Could be sciatic related. Pinched nerves in lower back
