Anyone, get this same thing happen to them after consuming evn small amounts of vinegar..? So I am an avid eater of vinergar and cucumbers or vinegar and lettuce, shortly afterward I get a stuffy nose and congested head. I associated this together a few months ago but was in denial of me having an allergy to vinegar, I noticed it happened every time after eating italian dressing. I soon narrowed it down to the vinegar. Wow what a deal. I have gone 30+ years without knowing I have this small allergy to vinegar, anyone else have the same thing, and what are your symptoms..?

Me too...just on the top of my head..lol I make a Greek salad and I drip from my scalp.
I went to a doctor that treats environmental allergies. Vinegar is MOULD. I now understand I have a severe allergy to MOULD - anything that is made by fermentation. To treat the symptoms, one must take an antihistamine - and when the symptoms abate, one can fully understand that it was an allergic reaction. If the antihistamine does not bring about relief, it is not an allergy - very simple. When I first went to the doctor, I had seen ALOT of doctors already and suffered for many years. I have several environmental allergies to many, many things, but when the doctor enquired what made me the absolute sickest, I responded vinegar. He tested for mould allergy and surprise - that is the culprit. MOULD - so if you want to understand the effects of mould ingestion on your own body, recognize that anything with mould in it (specifically cheese, yeast, anything fermented such as soy sauce) builds within your body and to totally get well, one must avoid all mould - mould is not just on walls - it is in the air in spring when the freeze comes out of the ground as well other times, can be in food that is not just mushrooms and also: Alcohol. Try to avoid mould in every place you can and your body will be at rest.
Wow! That exactly is my deal with vinager; even mustard. Funny thing is, i ABSOLUTELY enjoy the both of them. Hmmmm....makes me think....
Any time I eat condiments : ketchup, relish, mustard ,mayonnaise, salad dressing etc., i begin sweating on the tip of my head. Any thing contain vinegar sets if off
You are not alone . It took years for me to even notice that it was actually the food I was eating was causing the top of my head to sweat . Even the smallest amount of condiments confirmed it for me
Yes, This has just started with me. Trying to eat pretty healthy, I have always drink Braggs, I even saw my blood under a microscope & the guy Highly recommends it.. I just now started having swollen lips, plus the chapping, and am coming to realize it just might be the vinegar. So sorry you are experiencing this also, Gotta laugh tho, I look like I had Botox..LOL
I have the same reaction to products with vinegar. Sweating from the face and scalp is the only reaction I have but it last for only for a short amount of time. No embarrassment to me what so ever. Only a brief sweating attack occurs only last a few minutes after eating the stuff.
Well, biologist, you say the same things as my allergist. But I have a reaction of my body trunk breaking out in hives 36 hours after consuming any form or source of vinegar. Sushi rice, balsamic, mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, ricotta cheese, vitamin B12 in dissolving tabs, zinc acetate tabs for colds, etc. They are all made from different sources, so what is the common thread? I have no problem with alcohol, fruits, etc.
I have this exact same reaction. Always have, even as a kid eating fries with ketchup or whatever. I think its genetic because this also happens to my cousin and my brother.
I have anaphylactic reactions to vinegar. Mine started in pregnancy and stayed. 5 years later still the same. Hope yours went away!
Yes, wife and I have same thing.
Your not alone. I think about it and I am drenched. Definitely getting worse as I get older
I'm the same, only my head gets hot. It's as if you put just your head in front of a heater for like ten minutes while the rest of you remains a normal temperature.
I'd switch to lemon juice. I have a fermented product allergy. Landed in ER with vinegar. Not worth the risk.
I have EXACTLY the same condition, began around 40 yo, just ate sauerkraut with German mustard, omg, my hair is soaked but soon disappeared
