Hi. I notice while I'm in bed (laying in all positions) a wheezing or gurgling sound when I exhale. Anyone familiar with this?

I have the wheeze laying down also. If I lay on my right side it stops. I have an annoying dry cough. I have also gained a little weight in the past few months. Saw a Dr. Treated for asthma. No help. Just Googled the symptoms and called my cardiologists for an appt. Most if these symptoms are misdiagnosed for asthma but it is probably congestive heart failure. The laying down wheeze is one of the main sysmptoms.
I’ve been sick 22 days, sinus infection, took Ceftin & tessalon, mucinex, then took levaquin & cough syrup, prednisone. I’m done w all the meds. I wheeze lying down on exhale. Annoying, coughing trying to get white mucus out.what else can dr do?? Maybe I have viral bronchitis now.
I have had this possibly longer than I know because I sleep with a white noise machine. Generally I get up in the morning go to the bathroom, brush my teeth come back make the bed and turn off the white noise machine. A while back, I turned off the machine before I got up out of bed heard this wheezing as I lay on my left side. I also have some kind of a dry cough it's not all the time, generally when I get up, occasionally during the day, and then it starts at night just a little again, and then it repeats itself the next day. I am seeing my cardiologists tomorrow on this matter. But I have a feeling that it is more like a lung problem. I think it is unusual that when I roll onto my right side, it stops
Hi All, I had the same symptom as described by all of you. I'm 50 years 5 foot 5 weighs 181 pounds. Started this wheezing late last year... had chest x ray done in April 2017..clear. Of late the whizzing is more constant even when laying down straight or crouching to reach below. Earlier wheezing heavy on left side but now on both sides...I went to see a respiratory specialist 4 days ago. He gave me asthma inhaler / flutiform 125 micrograms/ 5 microgram manufactured by Fisons Limited, UK, to use twice in the morning and twice at night..the first night of use, noticed wheezing reduced by at least 60-70%, second day reduced by almost 80%..now on 4th day barely hear any ..but at times still do but definitely has reduced tremendously from before. ..I need to continue to use until its empty which is probably between 2 -3 weeks of use... to see full result.. I will share the pictures of this inhaler if I now how to upload them here...half white & half orange box...I think its worth a try folks..but check with your doctor first..
About 7 weeks ago I got really bad flu and was coughing crap up for days! I noticed I started wheezing kinda gergerling sound in the exhale really bad when laying on my left side too,. and it’s almost like a constant drip. I take all the right herbs and I’m pretty fit. Some over weight but this should not be why I’m wheezing! I’m beginning to wonder if it’s the new car I’ve been driving for work! Ford Focus 2016. Because at then end of my work day I’m kinda feeling bad and coughing at then end of the day
Used the inhaler for 2 weeks as prescribed by the doctor..Superb result as immediately wheezing almost totally 99% gone. 10 days after I stopped using the inhaler, the wheezing started to come back. Not as loud and frequent but there is define slow sound especially when lying leaning on left side. Bummer !!
Please find free clinic. Anyone with a stethoscope will be able to hear your lungs, even an untrained person can hear the difference.
I have the same symptoms it’s really annoying keep telling my pulmonologist I get no
Not true. You're conscience of you're breathing but it's because of the wheezing. Somethingg is up. I get bronchitis a few times of the year. Something is not right.
When I eat late I wheeze bad and spit Hurd some that looks like tapioca.
I wanted to thank you for your comments. I have the exact same issue on exhale. Our entire family is a sick as can be. I'm a teacher and of course befits just expired as they closed my class three days before Christmas. It appears many of us have the same issue, with little of a definitive explanation. Merry Christmas, Gary
Foaming at the mouth oh no I hope it's not to late
Have YOU gone to a Lung Doctor who is Specialize in LUNG DISEASE? Now i'm taking Q VAR 80 mcg as needed & that solve the problem.
Wheezing sound on exhaling results from the air passing through narrow airways in other words airflow through constricted or blocked airways. Anything that blocks airways can cause wheezing. Most commonly wheezing is caused by inflammation, congestion of the airways or a physical obstruction, such
