Hi. I notice while I'm in bed (laying in all positions) a wheezing or gurgling sound when I exhale. Anyone familiar with this?

How are you feeling now? Have you gone to gynocologist to get check out?
Why comment if you're not going to be helpful?
I've been having similar symptoms as yours. Wheezing on left side but not on right. Have you figured out your problem yet?
Thank you for your response. I think it is dehydration.
Stop eating all grains ...wheat, rice, corn. Try for 30 days. It free and you'll know if you are sensitive to grains.
May be allergies, I would get a second opinion. It could be something a lot worse.
I have the same problem that you have now, I’m 38 and my doctor doesn’t know what to do as well and just gave me a inhealer ...
Try a few weeks without the cats! I visited someone with one, and during the night I could hardly breathe. Got dressed and went out to my car to sleep. Felt fine then. Another time, after a few days with 2 cats, I could hardly breathe and my face was puffy. I took a prescription when my doctor said my throat could swell up and I could stop breathing! It worked, and I got away from those cats.
My doctor said that it was an infection that has gone deeper--not an upper respiratory infection, but a lower respiratory infection. Ha ha, being in Germany, and with the doctor even saying I had an infection from a blood test, I was not given antibiotics, but fought it alone for six weeks with chicken soup, garlic, tea and inhaling heat with everything I cooked over the stove. I looked up German medical opinion, and they think that antibiotics are not worthwhile for upper respiratory infections. Still, for a lower one I was not given them either. Go figure. One thing that did help me was an exercise from someone somewhere...breathe in deep three times in a row, as deep as you can. On the fourth breath, cough and a bunch of that deep mucus should come up. I was also told that I had undiagnosed asthma and was given an inhaler to use while I was ill and anytime I needed it afterwards (which I haven't used.) I was also given some drops for anxiety, as sleeping lying down was making me anxious. I ended up sleeping in a chair for most of the six weeks and still flirt with it, as I am waking up with the whistle on exhalation that led me here. I do not wake up with it when sitting up. So apparently I still have allergies and I should experiment with using the inhaler before bed.

I’ve found that the gurgling goes if you sleep on your front.
I too have a very difficult time in the morning with wheezing. On awaking, I lay there, then hear my lungs gurgling on exhale. I then have a really bad urge to urinate. Then I go into a panic, and wind up gasping for breath. I believe this is psychosomatic on my part. I do have severe COPD, and am on all kinds of drugs, including 20mg of Predisone a day. It seems that the only thing to alleviate my symptoms is a few cups of hot coffee.
If you arent drinking 8 glasses of water a day, it could be dehydration, im suffering from the same?.my back and legs hurting, coughing high blood pressure, low potassuim im seeing now i drink water but not enough...mucous is produced more when ur body lacks water, dry skin, dry eyes, unexplained pain,, spasms and sometimes acid reflux all due to lack of water. This may not be the issue or cause but its a start. Acid reflux/mucous can seep into ur lungs causing the gurling sounds. Try lemon and water to break up mucous, but water water water...
Get checked for congestive heart failure please.
I spent years trying to figure out what this was. Last year I was diagnosed with something called bronchiectasis. It is a collapsing on the bronchial tubes. You can treat it and get it under control. Most of what you read on-line will really scare you, so don’t bother until you know you have it. Your doctor should send you for a ct scan which will show bronchiectasis if you have that.
