Hi, I'm still numb after 10 months...and tight of course. Is anyone still tight and numb? I'm afraid I might have nerve damage... B

Lymphatic massage sounds awesome.  2 weeks post op smas and neck lift. Wondering what state you live in or could you share this holistic Center for lymphatic massage?  Thank ou happy healing to all
I know how you feel. I am 9 months post op facelift and the tightness is awful can't sleep Went to PS he said scar tissue gave me a steroid shot Will see if this helps.
I think you grow into it and it gets better, 1 year after and you really know its the best its going to be. Mine is 14months on. i still feel a pulling sensation under my chin and around my neck, my jaw line is softer and around my ears and cheeks i have some numbness . Sutures broke through my skin and my body rejected them mostly around the ears. I have now accepted it all as my new "normal". Would I have it again? yes and no. I would have had a minor op to remove lose skin rather than the major intervention of my neck and fat transferred from my neck to cheeks. Which I wasn't aware I was going to have until I woke up and it was all over., I had signed a consent form stating if he needed to make changes he could & he did. I had a lot of swelling that was very uncomfortable for 6-8 months, and sometimes I was quite depressed, but time is a good healer, & I wish you a speedy recovery
The only way I would have lifestyle lift endorsed by debbie  boone would be to meet the patient 5 minutes before she enters the treatment room and then see her again five minutes after surgery.  I don't trust them and I don't think they do real people in one hour and have them come out looking good.  They just change their hairdo and make up.
I feel exactly like you. Sorry I ever trusted my PS and regret losing Money and not being happy with the results. My Doctor flatly refuses to fix my problem. I still have Sag in neck & that was my main issue!!
16 months on I have patches of numbness around my ears, I do think it is slowly getting better. I was told the nerves are very slow to heal.
Other people do not require your approval regarding their own satisfaction, therefore your opinion as to whether they are entitled to their feelings is of no interest, at least not to me. I would have preferred not reading your little lecture directed at others here to share their experiences and feelings.
Be careful of the mid-face lift. I am unhappy with mine because it ruined my smile and made my nose to cheek area look weird, plus my nose looks larger too. My surgeon put in his marketing material how patient satisfaction and happiness with their outcome and looks was his "obsession" but it proved to be untrue.
My surgeon removed too much fat from under my chin, changing the natural shape of my face instead of just lifting and tightening it. Because he removed too much, I was left with an indented, lumpy chin with sagging on one side like you describe. He fixed it but in doing so, replaced the tiny scar from the original surgery with a large, visible scar that goes all the way to the top of my throat. I paid a lot of money to be left with a big, visible scar.
LOOKS LIKE WERE ALL SINGING THE SAME TUNE,ITS '3 MONTHS FOR ME THE TIGHTENNG AROUND THE EARS AND JAWLINE IS KNUMB AND PULLS CONSTANTLY IT DON'T STOP, MAYBE WHEN THE COWS COME HOME. IT WILL.. TIRED OF IT ALL I MUST SAY IF I HAD TO DO IT ALL OVER I WOULD.. IT'S AMAZING WHAT THESE PS CAN DO.. JUST SO UNCONFORTABLE. HE SAYS IT HAS TO PULL THAT MEANS IT TOOK AND IT IS HEALNG GOOD OK ILL WAIT NOTHING ELSE I COULD DO , PS SAYS TO MASSAGE UNDER NECK WITH SOME SOFT MOSTERIZER AND RUB UNDER NECK LINE THAT WILL TAKE AWAY SOME OF THE FLUID THAT IS LEFT, THAT WILL ALSO SOON DISAPEAR.. GOOD LUCK !!
You need another doc a neurologist and a lawyer. I had a neck lift and lower eye lid 2 months ago and I can't get rid of the nerve pain and numbness. I have hope but not much. These websites docs create for their surgery lie about recovery. And if you spend some time on the internet you can see how desperate patients are and how much their lives are wrecked. They were not told the truth about the surgery in making their decisions. Somehow I am hoping this all comes back to haunt them as their use of the internet backfires when people complain enough. Hope you get better soon. June
I am 3 weeks post neck lift surgery. My neck feels tight like a noose after activity. I wish I never had facial or neck surgery done. My face - too much skin was taken from my eyelids - I'm 51 and didn't really need it so now my eyes are not as pretty. No good camera pics anymore either.
I would not go for a fix back to surgeon who did a truly terrible job. Why should we trust a surgeon who botched surgery the first time? When the outcomes are far different from advertised, they should be required to reimburse the patient so he and she can use the money elsewhere for a decent chance at corrections.
I had a necklift 3 years ago and I called the plastic surgeon and he has responded. However, my jaw looks like it is sagging loose chin in the center of my chin on the left side and right side isn't too bad but I sure hope he doesn't recommend another surgery. Thanks for sharing!
Even i had Neck lift surgery... but didn't suffered from this problem.. In my case, it lasted for around 24 hours. I had it for very short interval of time. Really i got perfectly fine in 7 to 8 weeks..In some cases it took 18 weeks but its normal.. So dont worry..  ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** web addresses not allowed*** Please read our Terms of Use
