This is going to be a bit graphic. But I've found that sexual activity makes it much worse.
This include any masturbation as well. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the prostate or a nerve.
I've found that the more I urinate the worse the feeling gets as well. The longer the day goes on, the worse as well.
I've been taking ibuprofen 200mg every 4 hours and it seems to help a bit. But not a lot.
By the way, I'm the Guest above your post. I real feel for you man. I too have this an I think we will make it through this at some point. As of now "HOPE" is all we have...

Sometimes a tingling sensation ( you can pick up std from a used unclean clothing or public toilet - I have heard )  if you have been tested & do not have a std ( be very happy about that & keep it that way ) - your skin could just be rubbing on your undies ( depending on material or soap powder ) as you must remember its in pants all day with friction from walking etc & moist build up down there, now if on inside & not an std then must be something unclassified - a disorder / you sex organs need to last you a life time so allways stay safe & clean

I have been having the same feeling for about a month now.  I have got tested no stds but had a little infection.  I took antibiotics which worked for a week or so and now symptons are back.  I am wondering if its from the birth control ring inside of my partner???

Ask about Trichomoniosis.  It can be treated with Metronidizole.  It is not an STD readily tested for and not necessarily contractable by sex.  Studies have shown it can be trahnsmitted at public swimming pools and in poor sanitary conditions.

my boyfriend of 5 years has been saying that sometimes he gets this tingling in the tip of his penis during sex and if we try to keep going it goes numb. because of that he doesn't really want to have sex anymore, and when we do he rarely cums and it is beginning to effect our relationship. I'm trying to understand and help but he is 22 with no insurance to get checked other then STD, which he does not have. I know you guys have not found any answers but it really seems like your going through the same things so maybe you can help us work through it, Is there anything i can do to help our sex life, to help him actually enjoy it? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

I have a history of Kidney stones - 27 of them to be exact... Thought of staring a farm but.... At any rate, everytime I get a new Renal Calculus the head of my penis tickles until the stone is released.

I have had this problem since I was around 26 (I am now 33) and my father has had this since he was about 30 (he is now 70).

This particular problem is a nightmare, especially when needing to get up 6 times or more a night and in cold weather outside up to 16 times!!

These particular drugs work well, but are not a solution:

Endep (anti-depressive - 10 mg - I do not have depression)

Valium (5 mg) (to sleep, no other reason)

Minrin Nasal Spray (for some type of diabetes - I am not diabetic).

I've been to urologists and had many a prostate check to ensure nothing obvious is wrong, before anyone mentions I should do these things :)

I really hope this information helps you get some of your life back, and most importantly sleep back!

Keep the information and tips flowing so that we can figure out what this is or pharmaceuticals that help us regain our sleep!

THIS IS GOING TO BE LENGTHY BUT PLEASE READ... Hopefully we can get some answers to this! I came across these posts while Googleing "penis tingling, urge to pee". My 5 year old son has been having this issue for 3 weeks and it just now seems to be slowing down a bit. About 5 months ago the tingling started. In order to relieve it he had to pinch it and described it as a tickle at the tip of his penis. We saw his pediatrician and a urologist who just examined him physically and took a urine sample which showed no infection. At the same time the tickling started he had broken out in horrible mouth ulcers - he never had these before. They went from one side of his inner cheeks to the other for 6 weeks.

I'm sharing all of this in case any of you have had similar symptoms. The penile tickling took a back seat to the mouth ulcers but figured they were related somehow. I sought out a Chiropractor for natural health since the conventional doctors had nothing to offer. His pedi's diagnosis was that he was just biting himself which I knew was not the case. After 2 couple weeks of supplements the mouth ulcers healed and didn't come back to that degree although 1 or 2 popped up and then healed much more quickly then the first ones did.

During my initial visit with the Urologist I asked, on a whim, if a blood test might show something. They didn't really think so but at my request they ordered one. At the same time I was meeting with an allergist to do blood allergy tests for my son as well - we had not had them in 4 years so it was time to see if anything had changed. I waited to draw blood for both tests at the same time. I would meet with the Urologist again in a few weeks to follow up and get the test results.

In the meantime we went out of town with my son and got to our destination pretty late so he was up until about midnight. He began to scream, "my butt, my butt". I laid him on the bed to check him and I saw a "pinworm"! He had itched his bottom more frequently over the past several months but did not wake at night and never made a big fuss. I had assumed that we didn't wipe him good enough or it was possible food allergy. We treated him and us with Pin X and repeated it 2 more times. Cleaned the bed, house, etc. I believe we got rid of them.

HERE'S WHERE ALL OF THIS GETS INTERESTING... His blood test, which was taken before we treated him for pinworms, came back with High Eosinophils. While web searching about the penile tickling weeks before i came across a post where a Mother was describing the same penis tickling in her 5 year old. The Doctor who was answering questions said that if it was a skin rash, dry skin, etc. possibly his Eosinophils were high because they can cause itchy/tickling in peripheral areas (finger tips, toes, and he specifically said the tip of the penis)!! The normal range is 0-7 and my sons were 16. Eosinophils are a white blood cell and when they are high they usually look at 2 things, Parasites or Allergies such as food or pollen/environmental. Also, his food allergy tests show high numbers for some foods but the most telling was the his overall IgE was off the charts at 250 when it should be 90 or below.

I took all of this info and went to a Wellness Clinic and met with a Dr who is a Naturopath and Chiropractor. We started treating him nutritionally, did some stool and saliva tests. Did not find any parasites but did find out that his immune system is a mess and on his advice we got off of Gluten. The results were amazing. No crazy hunger, no more morning sneezing, no nighttime stuffy nose, and no more insatiable hunger. The tickling seemed to stop or lessen so much that it wasn't an issue. He used to fuss if he couldn't reach his penis in the car when he needed to pinch it - this completely stopped although he still touched himself but probably got used to it. (I'm sure you guys will understand this!!)

We had about 8 weeks of bliss and then BAM. The sneezing started, stuffiness, lots of sneezes in the morning, little rash on chin AND THEN THE PENIS TINGLE STARTS again but this, it makes him feel like he has to pee! For about 2 weeks he must have peed 100 times a day... it was insane. Had his urine tested, it was fine. No symptoms of UTI at all. Got more blood tests done and looked at all kinds of things. The only two issues were again the Eosinophils and IgE. I wish I had the blood tests done a few weeks prior when he was doing so good - i will never know if they went down and then went up again. I thought maybe pool water? another food maybe? So we stayed out of the pool and cut out grapes and the Gluten Free Granola. Still happening.

Went to Chiro and he had a couple adjustments. May have seen a little improvement but still there. Still avoiding certain foods and then I made a connection with another possible allergy with his mattress and changed that last night. No sneezing today, going to the bathroom massively decreased may have even stopped altogether. I'll know more tomorrow. We have an appt with Infectious Disease on Wed to try to figure out why his immune system is going crazy and look for parasites with blood tests and other possible bacteria.

HERE's what I want to know. Are any of you allergy sufferers? Have you had a simple blood test done; its called a CBC. It would show your Eosinophil count. I have written such detail because I feel for you. It must be so frustrating. Maybe together we can all figure this out and I can help my son. I will follow up with any new info from infectious disease!

Sorry, meant to say the Dr said if it "wasn't" a rash, dry skin etc. then to look at Eosinophils.
