I agree, after reading this i remembered that i had previously accidentally stabbed myself in the same exact position with a needle. I guess since it wasn't sterilized that it cause an infection.

What did you find out? I have the same thing! I think it is like a Wart?? IDK? But it is a small white dot that feels like it is the end of a nerve or something! It only hurts when it gets pressed down, or if I try to poke at it!

Just a thought. Which hand do these white painful spots occur on? Is it the hand that you hold your cell phone in when you text? Could the cell be irritating the hand due to the continual wi-fi microwave effect?

I took the advice of others and cut into the bump with my nail clipper. White pus came out, kind of sticky, however, I didn't see any white bead/pearls that others mentioned. A few days have passed now, and the area no longer hurts when applied pressure.

Just got back from the dermatologist n he thought mine was a calcium deposit. I told him it feels like something is in there. He scraped the tough skin off and dug in to find a thick white matter that he didn’t know what it was. Put an ointment in it n bandaid n wrote a script for antibacterial ointment n said come back in a month. He than said a thorn must have been in there...uhh no thorn was picked here

I had the same problem quite a few years ago. I went to my doctor he sent me to a surgeon. I myself worked in the medical field, I rushed to the surgeons go straight back he numbs in between my thumb and index then my index to my middle finger he opens where the white head is and white thick stuff poured out he continues and not to say what other colors of drainage comes out but finally he’s down to the bone. He puts stitches on it and looks at the drainage under a microscope and also sends out a culture and it shows the herpes virus.

A skin abscess is an infection of the deeper skin that's typically due to bacteria seen on the skin. Recently, infections are more frequently caused by Staph. Aureus (puts the "staph" in "staph infections"), which is dangerous and requires treatment.

Good prognosis with treatment
