I have the same thing too. They pop up on my forehead and chest in the same exact areas. And I know they are not zits nor any type of acne because they HURT. not like a continuous stinging but an irritated like sensation. If you try to pop them, they seem just to swell up more. I try to think its just heat bumps, but that would not make any sense what so ever. Help.

I don't think anyone's mentioned this, but take a look at your diet. You could have some undiagnosed food allergy. They can affect you later in life and some can be endocrine disruptors, which explains adult-onset acne. The most common allergens are corn, wheat/rye/barley (gluten), soy (including lecithin), dairy, eggs, nuts, fish and shellfish. It could also be fructose, caffeine or sugar. My problems are gluten and fructose and once I eliminated those from my diet, I no longer have acne, including those hormone-induced red, hard bumps under the skin. Hope that helps!

Avoid sugar use clotrimazole to kill the yeast infection on your face. Jolene bleach for the face, I try these two things and try not to worry.

I have red, hard, painful bumps on my chin and the only thing that comes out of them is a lot of clear fluid and then 1 minute later it will be all the way filled up again. If you push the bump around it will move and its hard like a lump. Last night i put tee tree oil on it and then over that i put some neutrogena on it and let it sit on there all night (but you could use anything with 2% salycilic acid in it). I woke up this morning and it was less than half the size it was the night before. The only bad part is that the skin is dried out a bit. But i'd rather have that then all these huge, hard, inflamed, clear fluid bumps on my face that make me look like i have herpes when i don't. But only put the tea tree oil on the parts of your face that are inflamed, irritated, or have bumps on them. Use it 3 times a day if you have to but im going to warn you now that it stinks so i wouldnt go into public if i were you...lol.

That happens to me too! And I'm 13 ts usually around my nose and chin. I hate it. I'm currently going through it right now. As soon as you see it developing immediately apply rubbing alcohol . It almost immediately reduces in size. Try it. Its risk free!

I have read this entire post. I see that this post is a little old, but I wanted to share what helps me. I get these nasty sores. They are not really pimples, or cysts. They are large, very deep, painful, red lumps. They never come to a head. If I try to pop them lots of clear fluid comes out. They can get hard, but usually if I press on it, you can see the fluid moving under the skin. I mostly get these anywhere from behind my ear, and my jaw line. Right now I do have a big one in between my eyes. I have noticed that stress and hormone fluctuations can bring them on. What helps me, is to drink lots of water. I will apply a really hot compress. I try to massage the bump instead of poping it. Before I put any cream on it, I put some peroxide on it and let it dry, this will help kill any bacteria or germs on the top layer. After the peroxide, I put a dab of cortisone cream, it usually burns but it helps. Then, A and D ointment with aloe. (Diaper rash cream) it also contains zinc. I let that set and soak in for a minute. Then, aloe, straight aloe from the plant. The aloe will help pullIit out. I go to bed like this. Sometimes I have to do this a few nights, but it usually shows major improvement over night. Good luck guys! Btw, I am a 29 year old female. I have always had bad skin, but I really thought I was growing out of it.

Rosacea is adult acne that presents in many different ways. It is from the demodex mite that burrows very deeply - there are 2types of demodex.

I have dealt with cystic acne around my chin/mouth, but had perfect skin everywhere else. In 2005, after using a new cleansing system, I noticed red itchy bumps on my left temple. They would come and go. I then experienced them on my neck/jaw under neath my ears - they would flare repeatedly and then go away. This cycle kept repeating. About 2 years ago, I noticed a few little itchy bumps on the tops of my cheeks - I never thought it would spread to what it is now. Now, they are all over my face, and my face is extremely dry and flaky. When they flare, they flare hard and are itchy and very sensitive...they really hurt. I don't pick, but I can't help but rub just a bit to help the itch!

I have to use tea tree oil in my cleanser to kill any bacteria, and I also use new cotton rounds for every wipe when taking off my make up. I used to use only 100% aloe vera gel as my moisturizer since it seemed to reduce the swelling by morning, but i was so dry and scaly (really bad!) i HAD to start using olive oil while my face was still wet, as a moisturizer. The flare still is reduced by morning, but comes back.

I researched everywhere. The Derms would not find anything after scraping my face, put me on creams which only made the problem worse. I got rid of gluten, dairy, wheat, yeast, malt and my face improved, but did not heal completely.  I asked my dr to scrape my face - she saw how swollen and painful it was...nothing showed up. She said 'I'm going to scrape a little bit deeper'...There it was. The demodex mite.

She prescribed me Eurax which has been discontinued and the patent has not been released. The only way to treat is by ...nothing, at least for humans. I haven't been brave enough to ask a vet for help. Even changing the pillow case every day hasnt helped.

I can't help but wonder if the Isolaze laser would kill the little buggers since it targets the hair follicles as well as acne pores. But since I can't afford that, I won't be able to find out.

I'm in pain. Make-up makes it flare. Stress makes it flare. Hormones make it flare - I went back on birth control just to get rid of the face problems, but 3months later, it is still flaring (at least all the cysts are gone). I don't mean to sound hopeless, but until strides are made in the dermatologic world, the mites are not going anywhere...at least for those who cannot afford laser treatments.

I'm 45 and an actress, so this is devastating for me.

Many blessings and best wishes & health to all of you.

Oh my gosh I'm so glad I found this. I'm only 15 and I get only one in the same exact spot every couple weeks. It hurts so bad but it never actually becomes a zit or anything. Apparently it's related to stress and a weak immune system, two things that are huge in my life haha. I think all of us here need to cut out sugar from our diet, start taking vitiams and focus on destressing our lives so we will hopefully never have this problem again.

Squeeze it till it pops than wash your hands and put some ACV on it. Works great.

They are just pimples, I know they seem different but my dads a doctor and he looked at mine that was in my ear stayed there for a whileeee. I now have one under my nose. What to do to make them go away is to get a hot or warm moist towel and hold it on it.

I read someone talking about fluid, if there is fluid it is most likely a boil. A boil is a deep infection of the hair follicle, mostly caused by the bacterium staphylococcus aureus, which gives you that swollen painful area accumulating with pus and dead skin cells. Also if I'm correct I believe white blood cells, bacteria, and proteins. Pimples themselves are caused excessive amounts of oil building up and getting trapped infecting the hair follicle, which sits and bacteria forms.

I have had the same thing and absesses removed over the years as well. my skin is all clear except under my chin with these pimple like things but they dont pop really usually swell or move to another area back and forth. i think its a form of cyst also.
