Most certainly everyone's chemical makeup and reasons for the dermatitis differ. I have researched many things. I started losing mega fistfuls of hair(I thought stress). Now I believe the seborrhic dermatitis has been a contributing factor. I have found that simply washing my face with "Mediterranean Sea Salt" (preference would be Dead Sea salt) has been my solution. At any rate, opening my pores with a hot rag, dissolving about a tsp in a small medicine bottle full of warm water..and washing. Rinsing with cold water to close pores...and in two days...my face was normal! I couldn't believe it. I started off twice a day, now after 4 weeks just at night. I am 53 years old and suffered off and on for years. Another amazing thing is my skin is moist and the natural oil has returned! No moisturizer necessary..which irritated my face anyway! If I miss an evening though, it does seem to try and return. It may not work for everyone, but it helped me. Now i am researching a sea salt scalp remedy. I also am a "Paleo" eater and have been for 1.5 years. I do believe our bodies have been designed to heal themselves, if properly nourished and taken care of...and I have not always done that, and have suffered the consequences. Hope this help someone!!

My dermatologist is the director of the derm department at the university. He gave me pro topic ointment to use twice daily, and milicycline once a day. Both are for 8 weeks then only keep using the pro topic twice a week. I have tried the metro gel for Rosales but have been diagnosed with sb. Hope this helps. He also said to try to avoid chemicals in moisturizers. The sun can actually irritate the skin.

I tried Minera dead sea salt from the San Francisco Salt company. Wash your face with diluted salt about two tablespoons, leave on throughout your whole shower, and then apply Aveeno Eczema Therapy lotion.

Clean your face with Noxzema Deep Cleansing Cream Plus Moisturizers, then follow up with Baby Petroleum Jelly.

I read on a dermatologist's site that one of her patients cured herself of this with Oregano Oil. Do a search for the benefits of that oil, and you will be convinced. I ordered 2 bottles pure from Amazon just now. They will last a lifetime because they are 100% pure so you must dilute with another oil like coconut or olive. I am very vain, and I hate this disease!!

Thanks so much for writing this, I am going to try Demarest. I have never had this SD before and now my face is a mess. I hate going out in public and I work in the public!

Head and Shoulders works great. Just wash your hair and let it soak for a bit. This clears up the redness around nose and checks as well. My actually told me to do this. It works better and faster than hydrocortisone cream. If it is a particularly bad flare up I will use the cream after using Head and Shoulders.

OMG that is just like me. At first I thought they were white head but they were not. Today I have been diagnosed with Seb Derm after it started appearing in my eyelids, but I have have it in my face for over two years and I thought it was just dryness due to excessive acne treatments during 13 years. The doctor prescribed head and shulders for my face and ketoconazole cream. I have been using La Roche liquid face soap that also has zinc as H&S, but the doctor said she has never heard of this brand before. Anyway, what are you using to treat now?

It is highly likely a fungus...you need antifungal. It is the only thing that will clear it completely.

I was wondering the same thing. This started to happen to me when I went back swimming this year. I go to a community pool as well. I noticed they have changed the chemicals to treat water.

Hi all
Just thought I'd share this because I've finally found a treatment that works for me, after trying so many different methods. It's been one week since I've started this exact combination, and I've only tried them all together not in isolation. Here's what I've been doing:
- evenings wash face with dermaveen daily nourish cleanser
- moisturise with rosken sensitive skin repair
- morning wash face with water only, moisturise with small amount of rosken moisturiser again
- during the day drink 3 cups of high quality oolong tea. I did a lot of research and found oolong tea is supposed to help with many skin ailments.
I had it the worst on my face, sides of my nose. The itching is now gone, I just have slightly red skin but getting better everyday. Other methods I tried include salt washes, honey, Apple cider vinegar, garlic, hydrocortisone. Again as I've been using all three products at the same time I'm not sure if it's just one of them, but I'm just going to continue because I'm so happy with the results!

I used to get yellow spots on my face and red spots. I started taking apple cider vinegar tablets. I tried everything to get rid of it. I have Barely ever had the spots since taking ACV tablets. I figured it was to do with my liver and ACV helped to clean my liver.
