Audible noise when moving my eyes

This doesn't happen always, but between 5-10 times a week I will hear (or appear to hear) a noise which vaguely sounds like someone quickly ripping a piece of paper or cloth when I move my eyes from one point to another (left to right, up to down, etc). I guess I'm just trying to figure out is this really happening, or am I suffering from some type of auditory hallucination?
There doesn't seem to be any single set of circumstances it occurs in.
Has anyone heard of anything like this?

Hi,
I have also been experiencing these horrible "swish swish"sounds when moving my eyes, and after searching came across a forum where quite a few people are experiencing the same thing.
I have been on Venlor 150mg for around a year now, and the swish swish noise when moving my eyes only started when i started taking these meds.
Not only have i experienced these "swish swish"sounds, i have also started developing a sense of "extreme nerve ending type of pins and needles" in my legs and arms when exercising over and above the swishing eyeball sounds, which a great cause for concern as i thought exercise was meant to be good for us !!!!!
If anyone has or is experiencing these similar symptoms and has any professional advise they can share, please do so as living with these symptoms on a daily basis is horrible to say the least.
Thanks
Steve

I have these same symptoms when looking up up and to left. I did see at least 7 different Dr. since 2007 when it first occurred while living in Costa Rica. I had smoked some moldy (compressed) pot for weeks before I got to the center and found was moldy just before the first time I experienced the swishing...along with it, I get tingling in my head and chest in exact same rythm. Now I see you talking about Vitamin d. I did have my last Dr. prescribe D3 because I had almost none found in my blood test. Then a friend told me they were in a d3 clinical testing, and 3 people died in it. Their doses were supposedly 3,000 i.u. daily. I was on 600 -1000. I got scared, quit taking it. I did not take it long enough to make any difference in my symptoms. I go outside in sun everyday now to get D but Im in the Northwest...they say we don't get it here in this zone.
I want to add that I did use Angioprim to clear out my 40-80% clogged arteries...2 years ago IT WORKED for my Carotid Arteries, as they are 98% clean now confirmed with full body Ultra Sound (minus head), and the swishing symptoms reduced to about 20% of the magnitude. I am wondering if I have little clogged veins in my brain that the Angioprim was starting to clean, but I did not take it long enough. They say the smaller veins take longer to clear with Angioprim than the large ones. I am going to try another month of Angioprim and see if that is the problem. BTW, I NEVER took any antidepressant pills.
I am so amazed and excited I finally found something about this!! I've had it off and on for yrs and I've tried telling multiple Drs about it and I get the same odd look every time! I get this swishing noise when moving my eyes. Also it jars my vision for a nanosecond and I feel it in my fingertips. It is absolutely maddening! I used to take Celexa and it was horrible. I was on Paxil for a while and started noticing it would come up if I needed to take my dose. Now I'm weaning off of Paxil and onto Wellbutrin and it's driving me insane. My dr has no clue what I'm talking about so I'm axious to show her this forum along w another I found that was 8 yrs old so I didn't comment on that one! I just pray there's something to do to get rid of it. I hope maybe it will go away once I'm off the Paxil all together but I'm scared because it was horrible back when I was on Celexa so I don't see how it will just go away. :(
After five years on Duloxetine, I have weaned off 60 mg to nil over three weeks ( to change to a different agent). I have developed what many here are describing - "gaze evoked tinnitus" - for me a sort of low pitched scratching electrical sound on looking to the right or the left. I also have nausea and dizziness when I look to the far right or left. If it does not settle I'll be off for an MRI but it seems so coincidental with the other seritonergic symptoms I'm getting that I'll be surprised if it does not settle. Changing antidepressants is not easy and to any one else who is feeling crummy my sympathy. Hang in there.
It's due to misaligned neck vertebrae. See a good chiropractor. I did and it worked!
Are any of you on antidepressants or anti-anxiety medication or recently stopped taking? I have been tapering off of venlafaxine ER (EFFEXOR ER) for 8 weeks. I have been drug free for 5 days and just noticed this problem yesterday. Previously, when I would miss a dose I would have the pressure behind my eyes along with the dizziness. I have read in a couple forums this can be a withdrawal symptom.

"ZHINGGG"
I just had this, when waking up. Second time now. Both times it lasted 1 or 2 minutes.
I look forward, move my eye and...
"ZHINGGGgggggg..."
the echo doesn't die out and sounds like random high frequency noise, like and old TVtube, but then being less sharp.
It sounds metallic, electrical, worrisome.
Yes. It occurs only sometimes. It is when I move my eyes, I hear a series of sounds, about 3-7, with the first always being the loudest and the following sounds each decreasing in loudness. When i tried to describe what the noise sounds like, it is like the light saber in Star Wars!
did you figure this out at all?
did the chiropractor work for you?
Did you ever get this fixed?
