If your doctor tells you it will go away he's full of it and just dosnt want to do anything. Mines inclosed in a pocket and was told by surgeon it wouldn't go away and asked me if I would like him to drain it. YES! Almost 2 cups of blood and fluid came out. But a week later its itchy and swollen again and needing drain. I hope we're not all stuck with these painful things! The pain is unbearable!!
All the technology now a days and we have to live with these horrible things in pain
I fell on stairs a few years ago and ended up with a huge indent in my butt cheek. With Chiropractic and massage it is almost gone completely
Hi all,
It's nice to see that this thread is alive and kicking. It's been comforting to hear that so many people have had similar experiences and that I'm not alone in this.
I wrote about my condition in two former posts, also on this thread. In my last post I mentioned that I was going to get surgery for it. I had my surgery done last week, under general anaesthesia. Used lipo, three cuts, all 0.3 cm each. There wasn't much blood to remove (8 cc to be exact) since a lot of it had been reabsorbed, but I think the impact and ensuing tissue damage caused some of the fat to be redistributed along my hip, which resulted in the remaining slight bump from the hematoma. The surgeon took out some fat from the bump (58cc) and re-injected it into a part of my bum that had a slight dent, and whilst there was moderate improvement, there's still some bump left. He said that it was swelling and is making me wear compression shorts, which I have to wear for another three months or so. I'm halfway happy with results but will probably have to see about revision surgery as the main bump is still there, although the surgeon said that the compression shorts would probably do the trick and that I should wait for the mandatory three months before considering alternate options. Will keep you all posted, but I have to agree with most of the posters here, it seems like only a lucky few people can have this resolve without resorting to surgery.

Wow been trying to find out how to get fid of this myself about 9 years ago I was washing my feet in a sink and I slipped and my left buttock fell on to skirting board they thought it was a lump at first then I went to have it removed and then they said that no lump it's fat!!! there answer get liposuction lovely like I can afford that. funny thing is didn't show up until I put on Weight but it's so Un ugly you can see really big proceeding uneven lump through everything I wear and no one will help me been depressed and self confidence ever since it seems if I have no money which I do not them they won't help me hope you have more luck than me
And would like to add this deformation occurred due to the accident will look into surgery but why don't they do on the NHS when it affects everything that you wear any help would be really appreciated thank you
I have a lump too from falling down the stairs. I was at the Chiro and he said it was a hematoma. He said when I'm in the shower I should massage it with the heat from the shower. I also have my massage therapist work on it too. I have noticed a little change
Exactly same happened to me. I was in pain, and had a bruise the size and color if a lg eggplant. It was so noticeable through my pants. Went to see dr., and said there was no damage. It took months before subsided , but was left with a split buttock muscle from impact . It's been yrs now and never really went back to normal. At least, I didn't break my neck! Good luck!
Can you please give me more info on the ultrasound. Thank you very much!
Hi. I have same issue going on 2 years. Have you been able to find fix?
The same thing happened to me! I fell down old Woden porch stairs on my left side. I fell 6 steps and it was raining! My butt has been dented for 4 years. I noticed that massaging and doing squats and running have made it less noticeable. I've gotten lazy though and learned to love my butt. Who cares guys! Love all ur butts.
Hi really interested to see how things have gone for you now several months after your operation? I am looking to have similar done and plastic surgeon thinks that it will work for me cheers jules
I understand what your going through. Same happened to me more than 8 years ago, golf ball lump to left buttock. Only noticed it months later while passing by shopping store window. Had lip on it 6 weeks ago, 50% better, massaging it but still noticeable. Hoping the liposuction will help improve even more.
what were the types of surgerys the doctor were going to preform? Is there a name for the bump?
How long have you been massaging it? Do you see improvments?
