I have the EXACT same symptoms as you. I'm miserable, and I'm so scared that my life is already over. I've had this for 3 years, and all of my doctors keep ditching me. My depression and anxiety gets worse all the time. I have been told numerous times that I have "pelvic floor myalgia" but the only "cure" for it is pelvic floor physical therapy (I.e. Medieval torture method where objects are frequently inserted into the vagina until miraculously it just stops hurting one day.) I refuse to pursue this type of "treatment" any longer, it's excruciating and only causes flares. So I'm still on the hunt for answers. Please let me know if you find out anything!

I'm suffering like a dog. The length asked me what I thought the cause of the awful itching was! Dumb ass b@$#!. I am going to try everything you suggested.

Hey Guys. I've had the same thing for the last two months. Burning around my backside and vulva. Feels like neuralgia because there's no physical injury or irritation to see. The only thing I've found so far which has possibly helped is Epsom salts. Just pour into a hot bath and soak. Starting to have some pain free days which is great. It's the only thing I've found which hadn't made it worse for sure. Also calamine lotion is soothing and may be worth a try. If any of you find an answer please do post.

I went through something similar--it lasted over a year and a half--and was diagnosed with Desqumative Inflammatory Vaginitis. After trying every antibiotic, anti fungal, and homeopathic thing I could find, in the end stress reduction (I know, impossible) and vaginally inserting probiotics when I have a flair up helps. It makes things bearable. For probiotics, I use Rephresh ProB, but most probiotics geared for women will help (as long as it has L. rhamnosus and L. reuteri strains.

Have you considered the diagnosis of lichen schlerosis. ?? My cousin and I have both recently been diagnosed. We r both in our 60s but you can have symptoms as a young woman too. Now that I am treating the right thing it is much better!! Also taking a pro biotic and a cranberry supplement. It is also helping me. JP

Reading all these stories makes me feel slightly better, but also sad that so many of us are suffering! I've been having bladder and vaginal issues since I was 16 and got my first UTI (I'm 23 now) it was always back and forth with utis and yeast infections, and sometimes irritation that didn't seem to have a cause. When I met my current boyfriend at 19, I was actually in a good place as far as hoe my vagina felt, things seemed pretty normal down there. We had sex for the first time 6 months into our relationship, and I got a uti a few days later. So I took antibiotics, got a yeast infection, took one fluconozole and everything cleared up. The next time we tried having sex the same thing happened, uti followed by yeast, and again it went away. After this we stopped using condoms since I started the birth control implant (thought I might have a latex sensitivity) and also started taking d mannose pills after sex. This worked for a long time, no more utis. Then months later I got what I thought was yeast but turned out to be bv, then I got yeast from the antibiotics. Had a reactions to fluconozole, so I used the cream, and it seemed to get better. After having sex again I got some slight itching again, and for some reason decided to use vitamin C vaginally (I think I read about it online somewhere) well this burned terribly, and I think I gave myself a chemical burn which I had to wait months for that pain to fully go away. Then I had about two really good years. Pretty normal feeling vagina, occasional yeast infection that would clear up with boric acid suppositories, and a good sex life. Well, my current nightmare started after coming off the birth control pill which I used briefly after the implant. It's the first time in years I haven't been on birth control, and it started with some vulva irritation that didn't feel like an infection, then I got a uti with burning, loss of appetite, and dizziness. Took the antibiotics for that and everything got better except for the burning pain. That was back in August, and now it's October and have yet to find relief. I've been back and forth to doctors, been treated for yeast and bv, been tested for so many things, recently went to a natural doctor who is testing me for food allergies, and gave me these natural tea tree suppositories. Those feel great at first, because they're cooling for the burning feeling, but during the day I still get burning and itching. My vulva looks pretty normal, just a little red, but it feels awful and its been so depressing. I have to follow up with the natural Doctor when my results for the food allergies come back, and I also have an appointment with a gyno but it's not for 3 weeks. I'm lucky that my boyfriend is supportive, but we've only had sex twice since this all started, and that makes me really sad. I want my normal life back. :(
