I was so worried, it looked like a spider bite and I've had MRSA before so when I popped one and it shot blood across my kitchen I was considering a hospital trip. It's good to know it was just a leg rubbing blister.

what ya'll are describing is called Hidradenitis suppurativa and is quite common yet very rarely properly identified. If you Goole it you will find articles from such notable places as the AMayo clinic. Unfortunatly it's an orphan isease and gets little attention , especially due to mis diagnosis. I've had the damned stuff since I was about 13 I'm now 65 and had the worst outbreak in my life a few days ago. It's a b***h cause sometimes the sores stay active for years at a time. It comes and goes with out rythm or reason except it seems worst when I haven't had sex in a while, or I'm really stressed out.

You probably have an ingrown hair. It's normal to get when you shave. You just need to get the hair out of it and it should go away

But, I don'tjjust get the occasional one or two my inner thighs are very scared and I havea huge one at the moment right under my bbuttock and it hurts like hell. Sometimes they prevent me from walking or even sitting down . until recently they have been emerging from my armpits which is weird I've never had them there before and it sucks its so embarrassing. I can't even wear tank tops anymore because I'm too self conscious and embarrassed

Hi, both my sister and I have been dealing with this for some years now. Her obgyn told her to use the birth control for three months without stopping and see if it helped, but after a while it came back. However, I started using an unusual method but it has been very efficient! As soon as I notice the bump is beginning to come up, either because of the pain that is associated with it or whilst showering, I immediately apply Proactiv's refining mask on it and by the next day or two, the swelling is gone and it basically dries up!! My sister didn't believe me at first but she started trying it as well and agrees that it goes away within a day or two! After I put the refining mask on it, I cover the area with some cotton and medical tape (because I feel as though it gets worse when rubbing against my underwear) and I leave it on till I shower in the evening and then reapply. The only problem that I continue to face is the dark marks that it leaves!! I know it's not a cure, but it beats waiting for it to become worse - swelling; hurting and itching.
Anyways, I hope this helps and that it works for you!! :)

I also have this. It started in my twenties and now in my forties I never have less than 3 active boils at a time. I have heard that one you go through menopause they stop. Known as the 50 year disease. Great right? I use a product called Boil Ease which helps some. A good trick I've learned for stubborn boils is to use Campophenique... the stuff for cold sores.... and cover it. Opens painlessly most of the time. It's also known to occur in heavy people. I weighed 100 pounds when it started. Can happen to anyone. Good luck. It sucks but we have no choice but to live with it.

I get these more often than anyone here. Every time I leave the house one or 2 hours in the heat I get one or two. I have thick thighs . I once decided to stab it to get infection out and boy o boy I landed at docs with MRSA. I get them every week so tired can't leave my house. I've been on numerous antibiotics like Bactrim. Now am seeing an Infectious Decease Doctor and he prescribed Zyvox. He said I'm resistant to antibiotics and Zyvox is the strongest. If this doesn't do it I'm going to the hospital.

Hi there. Exactly have those ugly, terribly hurting pimples too. It was embarrassing now in the summer to go to the pool. They are huge and I would get at least two, sometimes around 5 or even more at the time. They come on butt cheeks and inner thigh or at the back of the tighs (so basically the areas that I sit on during my office hours that also get most friction and perhaps sweating). Probably it's a combinration of things.
I first had a feeling that it has to do with cow (or any other animal) milk. It started getting better when I switched to Soja milk and skipping on cheese, cream etc..
What helped me get it quite well under control is regular visits to a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) practitioner that mainly did accupuncture. She said that I had too much "liquids" (congestion) in my body. Whatever organs such as liver were not working optimally she unblocked. Now I have not been for a while for accupuncture and I can tell the difference. not immediately but it is getting worse by the week now to the point that I am having again three around my buttocks. I have to admit I have been also under lot of stress and anger lately and I am convinced that this together with watching my diet less (more sugar and not paying so much attention to foods that may contain dairy) is triggering them again.
So for me the next step is to go back to TCM and trying to avoid foods that I feel can be culprit.
Good luck to all and I hope to hear of other solutions.
