A few months ago I had a small bump, about the size of a pea, on my inner thigh halfway between my knee and groin. It literally had pus oozing out of it. I squeezed it and a very solid pus came out--and a lot of it! I got as much out as I could and that dark red blood started coming out. I washed up and cleaned with rubbing alcohol and a couple days later it completely disappeared.
So today I was taking a bath when I noticed a painful spot on my inner thigh in the groin area. I felt a bump so I pulled the skin up and noticed a bump about 3X larger than the last time. It was oozing pus. So I grabbed the paper towels and squeezed it. It was extremely painful and tender, and a lot of pus came out--though it was more liquid/less solid this time. After the pus was gone the bump was still there but very dark red blood started pouring out. So I squeezed some of that out and washed and cleaned up again with rubbing alcohol.
I have no idea what this is -- MRSA maybe? I haven't been around any hospitals in a while so not sure where I would have gotten that from. But when it does appear unannounced, it is extremely painful and extremely disgusting.
I’ve gotten these too ever since I gained a lot of weight. I walk for like an hour and a half. There’s a lot of movement everyday so there’s a lot of chafing. I can get them in armpits, breasts, inside thighs, even in the area where the top of pant is, and any areas of skin folds (usually mine is the tummy). I used to get a lot of them and they were huge! It was sooo difficult to walk around and have them in these areas. I tried everything and they would still come back! I drained them and cleaned them. I would try different things to clean them with because I knew it was happening due the area not being totally clean and the bacteria would just stay there. Now it’s under control because I do bleach baths. I definitely get in there with the soap and the bleach water and really work it in and it made a ton of difference! I haven’t had any in months! P.S. I also have a skin disease (born with it) so you know it can get bad! Stella
A boil is a localized infection in the skin that begins as a reddened, tender area. Over time, the area becomes firm, hard, and increasingly tender. Eventually, the center of the boil softens and becomes filled with infection-fighting white blood cells from the bloodstream to eradicate the infection. This collection of white blood cells, bacteria, and proteins is known as pus. Finally, the pus "forms a head," which can be surgically opened or may spontaneously drain out through the surface of the skin. Pus enclosed within tissue is referred to as an abscess. A boil is also referred to as a skin abscess. Boils can occur anywhere on the body, including the trunk, extremities, buttocks, or other areas.
DEFINITELY sounds like 'H.S'.

They are called hematomas and you should go see a hematologis
I had exactly what you all are having, I started working out wearing yoga pants, and noticed I was getting theses bumps that started growing bigger, 12 in all mostly on the inner thigh of one leg only a couple on the other. I too popped them all, dark blood then a hard small puss thing, anyway, I went and googled what I had and found these pages, I tried many of the suggestions and what worked the best was scrubbing the area with a loofa and an antibacterial soap, every time I used the restroom, it worked really well but then I started getting another one. I realize, I like my jeans baggy so I wasn't washing them enough. All the sores are gone the dark scaring has gone away. I am a blond with very fine hair, I didn't even realize there are hair pores on the inside of my upper leg thigh. it was now been months and i have no signs of ever having this. Good luck, I hope this works for many of you. Make sure to wash you jeans often until they all heal up
its most likely Hidradenitis suppurativa ( dont look on google images)
My husband gets many of these on his inner thighs. He always believed they were just ingrown hairs. Had a sample taken at the Dr and had one professionally lanced. It was not Mrsa although my husband is a carrier of it. Even after the doctor, these come back. The only way to relieve pressure for him is by popping them.
I started getting one 2 months ago now where my underware sits on my butt towards my inner thigh. Felt squishy in the middle and was a very dark purple. I sterilized the area, and a knife and stabbed that s.o.b. Got blood all over the bathroom. Do not attempt to lance these yourself unless you can sterilze all your utensils and wash the area before and after with a soap called hibiclens or any soap that has iodine in it.
After doings 2 hours of research, my best guess is that these are in fact Hiradenitis, or a form of it. These are NOT ingrown hairs. Believe me, I've had ingrown hairs before and the area around them is swollen and red. If you pop an ingrown hair you will often find a long, curled hair inside that was the cause and then it goes away. There is no hair to be found when popping these monster blood balls. This is the first one I have had personally, but I will be keeping an eye on it.
I've read all the replies on this, and I believe that everyone has mostly the same condition. I do not believe these are caused by mrsa (staph) infection, because most people here mention nothing about pus in them. If you are getting pus out of yours, then you need to go to a doctor and have them culture what is coming out of your bump. I'm sorry I don't have more information on this, but know that you are not alone. For the record my husband and I are both very overweight as well.
I just popped the one on my bum because it was getting painful to walk, and now I am sitting on a heating pad hoping my body will absorb the rest of it. I was just on antibotics for 3 weeks for a tooth infection, so I high doubt these are caused by some type of infection. Like I said, my appeared where my underware rubs on my butt. My husband's appears on his thighs.
Try antibacterial body wash and don't wear pants that are too loose or too tight. It has helped me.
I have something like that to, but its not marble like, more of a bump on the inner thigh. Its a little bit smaller then an average thumb nail, and its sore and tender. Its squirts pus and blood when i prod at it an by what you people are talking about with it being a constant thing, im getting a bit worried.
i have that same problem right now but going to pop mine how do i make it go away
I started having this issue a little while ago. I am not overwieght really, and not at all on my lower body, just a bit of a gut. I am a guy who recently started clipping down there with some trimmers out of fear of a razer blades around my sack. In my experience they will not go away on their own, they will just keep getting bigger. The first one I got was on the uderside of my sack, which was very painful as you can imagine. I lanced it myself with a strilized needle and it bled quite a bit before puss started coming out. Drained it and dressed it like a field medic, and it went away in a few days. I occassionally get them on the inside of my upper thigh, but when lanced they do not produce puss or any smell of infection, so staf is out, as well as STD. These two things would produce a disgusting smell immediately noticable. Lancing and bandaging is the only thing that makes mine go away. I also stopped shaving that area to see if it helps stop them. I have read numerous reports of how ingrown hairs can cause these in both genders, and have actually seen a hair erupt from one of mine (which made it go away really fast, like 2 days or less). Be careful not to actually cause an infection down there, because then you will definitely need medical assistance and antibiotics. I have worn boxers my entire life and was an athelete for a long time, and never got these things, so rule a few things out. Shaving of the face can also cause these if a sharp razer is not used and not used properly, but the crotch area is already the most sensitive part of your body, keep that in mind. It is the least likely place on your body to sustain injury, unless you scratch alot and have dirty nails, which breeds infection as well.
