Red, itchy blotches on body after showering

As soon as I step out of the shower, all these little red bumps and blotches appear on by upper body, especially my upper chest. These bumps are really itchy and cover my arms, chest, and back. I have no idea what is causing this. I have tried switching different shampoos and body washes, thinking I can rule different things out. I have tried no scent shampoos and sensitive skin body wash. What is wrong with me??!!??!!

do you know what the fungus is called?
Same upper trunk problems here.......but mine only started about 3-4 months ago. We have well water and a filter so I don't think that is the problem.
One thing NOT discussed unless I missed it, are what we are using to CLEAN OUR SHOWERS BATHS WITH>>? My husband started using one of those aerosol cleaners in the shower a while back, not sure of name, but it's about then that I noticed the problem. I know I've always had a strong physical reaction to bleach products. I try to avoid them when possible.
Now I'm wondering if the cleaning solutions are causing topical skin issues that manufacturers don't want known?
I'm usually fine b/f shower, but after, even though I blot dry...the red circles on my back will glow almost, followed by itching and some scaling as if dry skin. I've tried triple biotic cream, baby powder, skin lotion w/o perfumes, etc. None have helped.
It is quite maddening to say the least b/c I too think...SKIN CANCER? And I'm disabled w/ limited health coverage so it has to be something scary to get me to go the docs anymore. I do have lyme disease, which might make me hyper sensitive to anything so again, I don't know.
I'm telling my husband to use natural cleaning products now.....no bad chemicals if he can help it. Hope it helps!

I think this might be caused by some sort of allergic reaction to the hot water. Something about antihistamines rushing to the surface of your skin when it is heated.. I don't know, maybe something goes wrong somewhere and the whole thing is reversed?

I get these red itchy bumps also. I get them after a shower and when I sweat. They look like mosquito bites. They itch like crazy. I have tried almost everything that I have read on this site. They appear on my neck, upper back, upper chest, around my hairline and ears. Sometimes around my eyes. I read about applying selsum blue shampoo all over body and leaving it on for 10 minutes. I began to itch almost immediately. I got hives instantly. I use to think i had body lice in the beginning. I even lathered the rid. All over myself.
I have no idea, mine only happens when I get out of a hot shower..never at a pool or lake..and its only 4-5..kinda weirds me out..

its natural, no harm done, calm down.
I've had this problem for over a year now but when I went to Turkey during the Summer I had no itchy red blotches at all when being in the swimming pool, shower and sea. However when I came back to the UK my problem started again... Can someone help? It's so irritating.
after a shower try apple cider vinegar, apply to affected areas with a cloth and let dry into skin. Repeat process for 1 week. also may be helpfull to injest a teaspoon once - twice a day, very effective. Hope this helps.
So the body lice only bite when this person has a shower?!
Wish I could help but I'm here looking for answers! It started yesterday for me...
I was having a shower and what felt like a sting near my hip. When I got out and was drying my back sharp painful spots appeared then all over the chest. Even after I was dressed in fresh clothes more feelings of bites all over my body but way too fierce to be an actual insect. My lungs got tight like an allergic reaction and I even felt it in my face swelling my lips!
It was very odd as I was t using anything out of the ordinary but someone suggested heat rash...
Aquagenic urticaria google it
I had this problem a while back and went to the doctor and they gave me some cream which made it feel better but then I realized I was taking b-12 tablets and to much b-12 will make you break out into a rash. So I stopped with the B-12 and the rash went away. That was about a year ago.
Now my husband is having this problem this past Monday and we have narrowed it down to the Bolthouse farms Salted Carmel Latte drink. Each bottle has 200% of your minimum daily requirements of vitamin b-12 and 280% requirements of vitamin b-6.. So we are thinking that he is getting to much of both.
Hope this helps.
