Red, itchy blotches on body after showering

As soon as I step out of the shower, all these little red bumps and blotches appear on by upper body, especially my upper chest. These bumps are really itchy and cover my arms, chest, and back. I have no idea what is causing this. I have tried switching different shampoos and body washes, thinking I can rule different things out. I have tried no scent shampoos and sensitive skin body wash. What is wrong with me??!!??!!

NONSENSE. TOTAL NONSENSE.
I have the same problem. I decided to search it up because I just took a shower and it happened, and that's how I got here. It only happens sometimes, and it also makes my skin get red, itchy, and blotchy. It's only my back and butt though, and it lasts less time. It normally lasts at the most 10 minutes. And it would probably only happen to people with sensitive skin, yet I don't have sensitive skin, and my skin is probably average. Either way, I don't think it's harmful, but anyways I have the same problem and it makes me feel better that I'm not alone on this stupid skin thing.
I have had these since I was younger as teenager. Today was the worst I have seen. I started itching in the shower it was so bad. Soap on them helped until I got out. Something allergic, bumps resemble hives. I had really hot water on me so I am thinking it had to do with that.
it could be the color dyes in it that's with me too try changing the dyes in them
I thought is was mold in the bathroom behind the walls maybe at first because when I had tile walls I didn't itch. I have the plastic wall and shower kit I believe In this house it has no caulk to stop water or moisture from going behind the wall. So thats an allergic reaction to mold!! I live in GA my skin is sensitive however hasn't been sensitive to water every shower or even rinse off is itchy.. Burning and afterwards leaves bums and hives every where even my feet burn and turn red my skin complexion is yellow beige feels like my hands tighten up as if my pressure is up.. Probably is because im scratching everywhere. And rubbing my skin.. Behind my legs and on my neck and near my underarms and backside too.
Same happens too me. Also happens when I get exposed to a fast change in temperatures. Does not matter if which way the temperature changes..cold to hot or hot to cold. Also happens when I elevate my heart rate. My problem turned out to be urticaria, related to Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I've had it under control with Atarx for the last 30 plus years.,,but, it took many years before a Doctor finally put 2 and 2 together. And every time I've had a change in doctors, the new doctor seems to always want to take me off that medication. One even sugessted I try over the counter allergy meds. After three or so weeks of trying to control it with the over the counter meds with ever increasing doses, and still getting hives, and the itching, we finally agreed the "trick" as he called it, wasn't working and I went back to the proven Atarx.
this is completely false
Same I have the exact same problem
it could be X-ema
NO IT'S SPOT ON TRUTH... The rash on your neck after a shower is from your thyroid, your bodies heat regulator, as it's function is affected drastically from the sudden temperature spike from the shower. The "rash" is actually a "radiator" point on your body. Those cells JOB is to expand/contract and whatever else to perform as a heat regulator. If your radiator is only 50% full, how can you expect your radiator to be working correctly? I drank about a gallon and a half (140 lbs male) of distilled water over two days and POW. There was an instant effect on the "chicken skin" on my neck/chest. I gained over 5 pounds too. Mine started after I cut my fingertip off on a woodworking jointer. If that's not bad enough, I caught MRSA... of the internal kind... at the ER. It poisoned my blood (sepsis) at least once. The antibiotics were not very effective so I started doing "hot soaks" to increase blood flow to my hand and this helped stave off the swelling. Then, I started doing "hot soaks" in the tub, submerging my whole body in @ 110-115 degree water for 20-30 minutes. This really helped get the blood pumping. Vitally important if you need medicine to reach your extremities. Long story short, not only did I beat the MRSA, I am healthier than I have ever felt. All my vitals are perfect. My temperature is spot on 98.6 practically every time I check. This is not normal for a 48 year old man. That is a 17 year olds normal temp range. Ok, so why do I have the persistent rash? Why am I feeling great but have this persistent rash? It is obviously from all the hot soaks!! DUH. It's just that I have overworked my "radiator" with my "vascular workout" and perhaps it is like an internal sunburn. So , the take away is: This redness after a shower is normal and to be expected, to some degree. Drink lots of distilled water or expect your thyroid to get over worked because your "radiator is not topped up". Take shorter and colder showers. This alone should stop any redness. Just keep it at your normal body temp or ambient temp or lower.
Have you found any thing to fix this? Or know a deeper reasoning? Thank you
R itchy bumps close together so the face stuff will work it frustrating me with all this itchy
I'm having the same problem after using soap or shampoo I get red bumps on my arms for about 20-30 minutes
Not the case with my son. He drinks plenty of water and has had this problem four years.
Wow. I'm reading all these things and I can't believe I'm actually finding so many people with the same problem. I wish I could just find the cause and the cure. I've searched this so much in the past but now I find this..Wow...so, my son has been dealing with this for so many years. Every time he takes a shower, goes to the beach, gets in a pool, or even when working outside and starting to get hot or sweat, he breaks out. He gets hives that itch and hurt. They sting. And they wear him out..like it takes all his energy. Things that have helped were zyrtec and also steroids. However, he doesn't want to live off of medicine because of the side effects of medicine over time. He just deals with it. I feel so bad for him. He never goes to the beach without a shirt due to embarrassment. I hope somebody find the cause and cure.
