Red, itchy blotches on body after showering

I've had the same problem for years I recently heard that using an anticeptic on my hair 15 mins before shower once a week for the past few weeks I haven't broken out so I literately just grab the first thing in my bathroom which was listerin n it's been working try it what could it hurt!! I have read at least 100 replies on this thread, and I am having very similar symptoms that most here are having. For the past 2 years, I've been breaking out in a rash on my forearms only, nowhere else, whenever I get out of the shower, go in the sun, sweat, work out (which is daily). It flares up 6 out of 7 days in any given week. I've tried Cortizone 10, Avenno oatmeal moisterizing lotion, aloe vera, and nothing seems to work. I even tried taking colder showers, but that doesn't seem to help either. My nutrition is in check and have been tested for allergies. I'm going to try to use an anti-fungal cream next, I'm out of ideas so I'm going to keep going until I find the answer! DOES ANYONE ELSE GET THIS TYPE OF RASH ON THEIR FOREARMS ONLY?

I have the same problem minus the *red blotches* I've read somewhere it's allergic reactions common to asthmatic people but I'm not sure how true it is

Buy a water softener! I had tiny red bumps after every shower. I tried all types of skin creams and even a Salt facial on my body, but nothing would work. Then we bought the water softener and it got rid of mine. I hope it this helps anyone with the same issue!

I think it has something to do with the temperature. I get red blotches ALL OVER my legs and feet. Sometimes they itch sometimes they don't. It doesn't happen when I use cold water. It could also be very mild eczema, the kind that only shows up if irritated.

Its called Aquagenic Urticaria, look it up

If it's only happening with hot showers I'd look into a parasite cleanse. I had this issue for a while, and now some similar skin issues that I believe are caused by parasites. They flame up with the hot water.

I've had this problem before too, it never got 100℅ cured but what really helps is loratadine tablets which I usually get at walgreens

I dont take hot showers and i actually take more on the cold side, so i dont believe it is the hot water and it did not start unitl i moved to this apartment on a property with well water that sometimes smells like rotten eggs or sulphur. from the first shower i had this problem, and it almost burns too.

I suffer from this aswell although I am not affected by sweat only hot shower water. From what o can tell its sensitive skin reacting to the bad things in tap water. If most water causes a reaction you may have an allergy to water ( it's an actual thing)

The same thing is happening to my daughter and it's very red but my other daughter dosent have it and neither do I idk what it could be probably just sensitive skin

My daughter has small raised bumps that are white on the inside and red around the outside. They look like small bug bites. We have been battling bird mites within the home. I don't know if they are bites, but I'm pretty sure they are. They only show up in the hot water of the shower though. Good luck everyone.

You're allergic to water. My uncle has the same problem

I also think so.. present of bleaching properties in water..becoz when I go to my village and use under ground water I never get problem like skin irritation..but when i come back and use the over tank water I got that same problem of skin irritation each time...
