Why was I born with two different color eyelashes

I was born with blond eyelashes over my left eye and black eyelashes over my right eye. It is very noticable to me so I avoid mackup as this excentuates the fact that they don't match. I have met many people with different color eyes but never any one else with different color eyelashes. What is a good way to deal with this?

i have two different colored eyebrows and eyelashes, one of dark brown and the other is very light blonde. it is natural and parts of the hair on my head and both my arms have different colored hair. my skin also has lighter spots
I also have two different colored eyes lashes. blonde on the right and brown/black on the left. half of my eyebrow on the right side is blonde. no one really notices unless they stare at me or really observe my face. my blonde eyelash kinda matches my hair which is like a dirty blonde. my oldest brother was born with two different colored eyes and no one else in my family but him and I have this cool "gene". I like it. I mean I have my insecurities with it but I don't care. ive never met anyone with this. I wish I could some day!
I have the same thing. Left eyelashes blond and shorter hair with worse vision, right eyelashes are black and longer and right eye vision is better. I was born like this.
I too have two different colored eyelashes. My left eyelash is blonde and my right is brown. Also the left side of my hair is highlighted with blonde streaks and the right side is dark brown. When I do my makeup I just use black mascara to help make them look even. Pull up on your eyelid and you can apply it better to the base of your eyelashes. I also noticed some of the people who have posted had eye issues with there vision. I too have that problem. My left eye (which is my blonde eye) is weaker the my right eye. I am just thankful that I am not the only one who has this uniqueness about me. I have never met anyone else who can share this with me.
Wow I have the exact same! Blonde lashes, lighter brow brow and a blonde streak through my hair on one side! Dark on the other side.
I have the same problem....
I have got black eye brows on the left and blonde on the right. On the right side of my face I have a thin red strip that doesn't go for too long. I always remembered the people that noticed it and commented from an early age. It is quite noticeable and makes the left eye stand out much more than the right. I haven't worried about it that much. I do travel a bit for work and see people gazing at me without comment. I caught up with some friends a few years ago and one of the hotel people came up to me and said that I was drinking my last drinks. Well I was only just on my first. The different is colors makes it look like I have had too much to drink. I did have a comment once where the person said to get it colored as it looked ridiculous. I never contacted that person again. I do go through periods when I don't think about it. It hasn't changed me. I do wonder how many people are similar and thus googled searched this moments ago out of interest. Wow. I thought I was the only one XD. I have dark brown hair, my right eyelash is black with a brown eyebrow, my left eyelash is beach blonde with a tiny patch of blonde in my brown eyebrow, and the hair on my arms and legs is blonde. Occasionally, I can find a few blonde strands in my hair, too. I always knew it was genetic, but that makes sense to me now that it has to do with dominant genes and whatnot, since on one side of my family I have black roots and a little caucasian, and on the other I have total caucasian. Even though darker features are more dominant, it was three against one, therefore evening out the odds quite a bit more. I'm glad for this post- it was really interesting, and it's nice to know that I'm not the only one out there :)
Hi my daughter also has this but her first communion coming up cause she so light on one side it makes her eye look lazy and for pictures any advice
My left eye also has blond eyelashes and mostly blond eyebrow where my right eye has definite black eyelashes. My left eye is weaker in vision than my right eye as well. I find this fascinating. I have never google searched nor have I ever looked into it before and to my great surprise how many people have the same thing!!! It would be interesting to take a poll to see how many blond eyelashed people vs black/brown eyelashes have weaker vision. Thank you for sharing
My left side has a blond streak in my hair, I have blond eyelashes and a blond/brown eyebrow. The right side all has brown/black eyelashes, eyebrow and hair with no natural highlight.
MINE IS THE EXACT SAME WAY!!
omg you sound like your my daughter! my daughter is 14 and was born exactly the same as you. People used to think I dyed her hair when she was like 10 weeks old!!
My daughter has this same exact thing . Blonde eyelashes and eyebrow on her left side and a big patch of blonde hair on her left side but her right side is all brown. She also has discoloration on her left shoulder and left torso it’s just lighter in color than the rest of her. Do you know what his condition is called? I don’t know where to start at the dermatologist or a geneticist but I want to get a diagnosis to make sure it’s not a problem.
So is this chimera or mosaic ?? Could this be vitiligo ?? My daughter has a light streak on the left side of her body she has a big chunk of blonde hair blonde eyelashes blond eyebrow and her skin is later on her shoulder and torso of her left side of her body and the right side of her body she has brown hair on everything and has tan skin. I don’t know where to start with doctors because I just want to figure out what this is. I’m really hoping it’s not vitiligo because I don’t wanted to get worse I’m hoping maybe it’s a birthmark or chimera or mosaic
