Why was I born with two different color eyelashes

I was born with blond eyelashes over my left eye and black eyelashes over my right eye. It is very noticable to me so I avoid mackup as this excentuates the fact that they don't match. I have met many people with different color eyes but never any one else with different color eyelashes. What is a good way to deal with this?

Cool we are the same!! i feel so normal now!! so you know i had a little boy he ended up with all the same colour brown hair eyebrows and lashes! you and me are like elite or something ^^
I was born in 1956 with right eyelashes and eyebrow blonde (pale yellow) and left ones black as coal. I had a prominent blonde streak down the right back in my brown hair with sparser blonde streaks on right side (mostly underneath). Receding hairline looked worse on blonde side. (bangs helped) When puberty hit my hair got darker and curlier. Streaks stayed. I could part my hair on the left side and it would look solid brunette. If I parted it on right side.....more medium brown with lots of blonde streaks. I didn't appreciate my eyes when in school.....people can be cruel even when they know you didn't do it on purpose. Kids thought it looked stupid so it meant I was stupid. I also looked lop-sided....with icey-blue eyes, it was really noticeable. Being a female, I could eventually hide it.....with some effort. Ha! do not use blue mascara! Makes you look even freakier! I'm now 61 and wish my super-graying hair (which I color) would go back the way it was.....I still cover eyes with make-up because it just looks better. BTW: My dad had straight dirty blonde as a kid & my mom had curly dark brown hair. They thought I couldn't make up my mind who to look like so I picked both.....they loved it. But...........I always wanted one blue eye and one green eye instead....lol
I have the same thing. Where my lashes and brows are blonde on one side and brown on the other. I also have a streak of almost white in my hair on the side that is blonde! My blonde eye, however, is the one that seems to have something wronf with my sight. Certainly unique.
That's the same w my 9m old son. He has 1 set that's blonde and one dark. He was born w jet black hair and now its red, blonde and brunette. It's so funny. But definitely makes him unique
He sounds like a very beautiful and handsome young man. You should definitely make sure he knows how special and amazing it is to have these qualities. I’m only a teenager by the way. And I have been bullied for as long as I can remember for having dirty blonde hair on one side of my head and very dark brown on the other. And for having blonde eyelashes in one side and black on the other. My father has blonde hair and my mother has black hair. This is not normal in my family. Me and my mother are American Indian so we are expected to have dark hair but she fell in love with my father of light hair and light skin. Yes my Indian friends judge me. Yes my white friends judge me. But I know I am beautiful. Your son should know how amazing he is. Please remind him for me. For him. I’m sure he will need it sooner or later. There will always be haters. Let him know you are a fan of his unique amazing hair colors.
Hello All, I am as well one of those individuals who had two different color eyebrows. I was bullied throughout my elementary because of it. I always hated that my hair and eyebrows were blonde on the left side and brownish black on the right side. Today, I look at myself in the mirror and I hate it even more. I have two siblings and both have normal eyebrows and hair color and I was the one who turned out different. I always wanted to know what was wrong with me, and how I could fix my self confidence of this issue. I would love to see everyone photo of this Sectoral Heterochromia as I read many post, and most of everyone is calling it that. However, I usually do have self confidence as my girlfriend always cheer me up, I just cannot find myself to like that I am unique. I just cannot stand having two different color eyebrows. The worst part is this is the only place we can socialize like there is nothing else on the internet to connect all of us. It feels like I am the only one that has this problem.
I was born with two different color eyelashes and eyebrows and my face is two different colors and I have a blonde streak in my hair I used to get picked on about it but as I got to middle school people thought it was pretty and cool
I was born with my whole left side of my hair in general being blonde and my whole right side being brown. My eyebrows, my eyelashes, and even when I part my hair in the middle my left side is lighter and really blonde. sometimes it's a pain because I have had rude comments about it and I wanted to know what this means.
I have both different color eyebrows and eyelashes... Idk what this is. I was born this way. Always get asked if I let color run down my face or why I waxed my eye. I don't wear much make up to cover it cause it won't match. Hair color won't stick to it. And it's very very sensitive.
Gday I’ve got blonde eye lashes on the right & pretty much black on the left. Also got a few blondies in my right eyebrow as well. Never met anyone in 34 years with the same thing. Then i searched tonight & found this page. Awesome :) Knew i couldnt be the only one. P.s. i am also short sighted. I need a toric contact lense for my right eye (black eye lash) But just normal for the blond
i like my
i meant mine
yes, i was born with one blonde eyelash and eyebrow and one brown eyelash and eyebrow and my vision in the lighter side is a lot worse, whereas my vision on my other side is normal, i also have a huge blonde/gray patch of hair on the top of my head
I'm confused because the tips of my eyelashes are blonde/golden while the rest of the eyelash is brown
I have the same thing. My eyelashes on the left side is blonde and the right side is black. It's actually really cool and unique. I love them. I asked my mom how it happened and the eye doctor told her that I had to of punched myself in the eye when I was in the womb. I always noticed that one eye is a darker hazel than the other one
