Red, itchy blotches on body after showering

As soon as I step out of the shower, all these little red bumps and blotches appear on by upper body, especially my upper chest. These bumps are really itchy and cover my arms, chest, and back. I have no idea what is causing this. I have tried switching different shampoos and body washes, thinking I can rule different things out. I have tried no scent shampoos and sensitive skin body wash. What is wrong with me??!!??!!

I get it even when I sweat. It's any form of water. Even when swimming at the beach or in a fresh water lake. What is it.
I get the same! although when the redness of the rash goes away there are still bumps and it still itches... i got prescribed a cream AND i've tried various skin treatments but nothing has worked so far... good luck!!! :-)
I don't think mine is body lice because it doesn't itch and it always appears after any part of my body gets wet
This post was over a year ago so you may have found the solution to this problem .. if you have please reply .. I'm only 14 and I am experiencing the same red and white blotches ((mainly just on my arms)) . If you get the chance to, please reply
This is a fall allergy, caused by molds and histamines put off by dying leaves and ragweed, plants, etc. They also get into the water that you shower with. Ask your Dr for a good cortisone cream like triamcinolone cream. Clears it right up!!!!
I suffer from this too. After a shower I break out in itchy red splotches with a tiny white "insect bite" looking dot all over my tummy, chest, back, upper arms. Where I grew up as a kid I would get them then we moved from a town water town to the country and we had tank water which was filled with rain water and I didn't get them anymore (yay). When I moved back to a town with town water 2 years ago I started to get them again. I'm certain it's the chemicals they treat the water with as sometimes it's worth then other times. I've found moisturizer helps. However I'm a learn to swim teacher so I spend most of my time in chlorinated pool water and dont get them.
I've developed this too. Real nasty itch and also looks like a bug bite. . Heeeeelllppppp!!!

It's called urticaria ..it's a form of hives. They will slowly go away within time but it's nothing to worry about and nothing you can do to stop it. I just seen my doctor today for the same thing.
It's more often than not the force of the water. Instead of showering, try taking a bath. The pressure of the water hitting of your skin is causing it to react by going red, just like if you scratch your arm, it will turn red.
