Red, itchy blotches on body after showering

As soon as I step out of the shower, all these little red bumps and blotches appear on by upper body, especially my upper chest. These bumps are really itchy and cover my arms, chest, and back. I have no idea what is causing this. I have tried switching different shampoos and body washes, thinking I can rule different things out. I have tried no scent shampoos and sensitive skin body wash. What is wrong with me??!!??!!

My 15 year old is getting very conscious of these exact symptoms, swimming or showering. Would love an answer.

Its fungus!!! Heeeelllllooooooooo!! Pay attn. Its getting wet and reacting by gettin swollen making the skin itch. Iits aallliiive lol i got it too. Haole rot its called in hawaii. Take chinese herbal fungicide it works great.
Ive had the same issue. I had an itchy rash on my face, neck, chest and crotch. Ive been using acne medication and neosporin and it is going away. Im convinced i got it from either my work site or hotel sheets!
It's the water. You shower too much. :) Doon't use soap and stop showering and watch what happens in 2 weeks.
It's the water...stop swimming and showering so much, don't use soap either. Stop it all, if you have to shower, only do it once a week or if you sweat use lukewarm water for 5 minutes and get out and pat dry. Watch what happens in two weeks, the skin will heal itself on its own. No doctor is going to tell you this because cosmetics and pharmaceuticals are a multi-billion dollar industry. Anything in excess will cause your skin to react even water, esp hot water either alone or mixed with soap.
I agree. Sounds like a yeast infection.
I am rather young and have had this for all of my life. Even when I was a baby. I am oging to see a doctor with some pictures. I have found a picture of exactly what it looks like after googling cholinergic urticaria. It only went away for a couple years at my old home when I had a water softener.
Hi. I'm having the same concerns of itchy red bumps only after showering. I have noticed with cooler water it does help. I've also noticed that I have periods where it is more prevalent than others. I don't particularly at this point have it in the pool or the ocean or any other areas just after I shower. I just looked up what the previous poster indicated to look up scaring the jeepers out of me and I have to say to all those that it may have scared as well that this poster is referring to a problem of sweating. I don't believe this is what most of us on here are speaking of. I have tried different shower gel's soaps and shampoos and even wearing perfume on the chest versus not wearing perfume and none of this seems to be an issue. It appears to me that it may be related to something in the water that is causing this problem but I have tried water in all different areas and I've had the same reaction in different states and areas. Please if anybody has any information about how to stop this please forward. Thank you
