Why was I born with two different color eyelashes

New person here, one side of lashes blonde, the other brown. My hair's got intense blonde streaks in contrast to the brown, (even though I dyed my hair dark brown and the natural blonde is not visible anymore) never met anyone with the same 'condition'. I love it though, that my lashes are so different, so you people be confident about it too :) its unique Also I got green eyes and poorer vision in my left-blond-lash eye.

Hi there. I cannot find anyone with this unique pattern. All facial hair (brows lashes nose and upper lip) are different from left to right. My right side is my light side. My left has black/ brown hair.

My facial hair is split down the middle! Black on the left and blond on the right.

Hello. My son´s elelashes have changed the colour to blond on one eye 2 months ago. Is there anyone with the same problem? I am afraid it could mean he has vitiligo and depigmentation of skin will appear later. Thank you for your comments.

No way did IVF have any role in this LOL. How would that even be remotely possible? With IVF, the fertilization is already complete and the exchange of genetic material is set in stone. The "technique" used to extract, store and join the gamete cells, etc. - that can't realistically influence anything. This trait is universally benign, and is quite rare and beautiful. Many say it means that your child was "kissed by an angel". Best of luck

My daughter now 14 was born the same way. It was as if she was split down the middle her hair, eyebrow, and eyelashes on the right side are brown and on the left side are all blonde. I always thought it was really cool she also likes it. As she gets older her hair has blended more together and now looks like highlights but in the front blonde part it started to turn red which is strange cause there are no red heads in our family. Her eyebrows and eyelashes are still the same. I have never known that anyone else was ever born this way. I thought it was cool to read that someone else was and thought I would share about my daughter.

I have like the same situation but my right eye is a very light blonde and my right is brown. However my vision in my left(brown) is poor but the right(blonde) great.

I have this "condition" as you would call it and I have the blond on my left and the black on my right. I also have this like cut down the start if my eyebrow but its not a cut its blond hair in my brown eyebrow. I wanted to find out why this had happened and what caused it and I did

My daughter was born similar but has a large patch of blonde hair now red on her right side with a patch of red right in front but the rest of hair is brunette. I too had never seen it before and thought it waa bizarre and still do. I thought it was a birthmark and took her to see specialist at the royal childrens hospital. They had no answers for me and said she was truly unique. My daughter is now 2 and her colour doesn't seem any different. She gets a lot of looks but as her hair is now longer it becomes hidden when her hair is up or falls a certain way. Would share a pic but not sure how.

I have the same thing blonde on my left brow and lashes and brown on my right and I also was born with natural high lights like white streaks

I have the exact same thing too! My left eyelashes are blonde/white and my right are Black :) My left eye also has bad sight :( I though I was the only one who had this.

My eyebrows and eyelashes are like this along with some of my hair. My right side has completely blonde eyelashes and eyebrows while my left is completely black. My hair has blonde patches on the right as well. If anyone knows a scientific explanation for this I would love to hear it but it's cool to hear others have it as well.

You should be proud of yourself, that you have a unique identity unlike other.
